The Singing News Fan Awards were held recently at the Dolly Parton Celebrity Theater at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. Daywind Music Group took home a total of 7 awards, including the two of the top awards, Favorite Album of the Year (Greatest Hits Live, the Booth Brothers) and Favorite Song (“I Got A Hold of God This Morning”). Libbi Stuffle (the Perrys) received awards for both Favorite Female Vocalist and Favorite Alto Singer, and Rodney Griffin (Greater Vision) was named Favorite Songwriter for the 15th consecutive year.
Red Roots, one of the great new artists at Daywind Music Group, took home the award for Favorite New Trio. The identical triplet female trio is signed to Red Hen Records, a division of Daywind Music Group.
Daywind would also like to congratulate the Favorite Radio Station winners. The fans voted John Whisnant of WCIS in Morganton, NC, Lottie Squires of WCKB in Dunn, NC and Daniel Britt of WXRI in Winston Salem, NC as Favorite Small, Medium and Large Market DJ, respectively.
