Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

NQC Attendence On The Rise PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 19 September 2008 19:23
Louisville, KY - Seven years ago today our nation suffered one of its greatest tragedies. Many attendees of the 2008 National Quartet Convention are in the same location as they were on that dreadful Tuesday in 2001. When all national programming was interrupted by special news reports indicating that a plane had struck one of the Twin Towers in New York, the days musical festivities were about to begin.

Since that historical day seven years ago, the National Quartet Convention, just like our entire nation, has experienced lots of change. That year the NQC was experiencing one of its biggest ever; however, over the past seven years, the Convention, like so many other events, has struggled to reach the attendance figures it enjoyed prior to 9/11; however, fortuntately, NQC organizers have announced that advance sales for this years event, coupled with this weeks ticket purchases and an all-time record setting year in the exposition will possibly make this years event the best attended since 9/11.

Prayer Needed For Shannon Bunch Family PDF Print E-mail

(From Shannon Bunch Email) Monday afternoon as I am sitting in Louisville, KY at the National Quartet Convention (NQC) Melissa calls me from Nashville. She has just left the doctor’s office for what was supposed to be a routine checkup. This was the first doctor’s visit she has made without me, and the doctor had just shared some rather disturbing news. Needless to say emotions were running very high as she was digesting and relating the following statements.

Let me preface this paragraph by sharing that Melissa and I opted for genetic testing for several chromosomal defects earlier in the pregnancy and those results were NEGATIVE. Dr. Jabusch, our obstetrician, shared that during the last ultrasound, when we found out we had a little girl on the way, two abnormalities had been discovered. There was an elevated thickness of tissue around the baby’s neck, and there was a small “spot” on the baby’s heart. These are called “markers” for the possibility of Down’s syndrome. She then gave us an appointment for a specialist here in Nashville who is perhaps the most sought after doctor in his field. Upon review of yet another ultrasound today there were three other “markers” for Down’s syndrome

Nashville, TN (9-10-08) – Less than a month after their release, the two-volume Country Bluegrass Homecoming DVDs garner the top two spots on Billboard’s Music Video chart for the week of September 14th.

Starring world class artists from all three genres and hosted by gospel legend Bill Gaither, Country Bluegrass Homecoming Volumes 1 and 2 feature performances by Vince Gill, George Jones, Ralph Stanley, the Gaither Vocal Band, Marty Stuart, the Isaacs, Larry Sparks, the Grascals, Dailey and Vincent, and more than a dozen others.

“Country, bluegrass and gospel music are connected in many ways, but one common denominator is that most artists in these three genres got their start singing in church,” Gaither pointed out. “So when we all got together there was a wonderful sense of camaraderie. After bringing these talents together in an event that was so thoroughly enjoyable to create, it is especially gratifying to see that the public is responding so positively.”

The Pfeifers Release New Project PDF Print E-mail

Pfeifers ProjectLouisville, KY - Multi-talented musical group, The Pfeifers recently completed work on two brand new recordings just in time for Southern Gospel Musics premier week-long event, the National Quartet Convention, which takes place this week in Louisville (September 7-13). The audio recording, Carry The Banner, features the talents of long-time members, John Pfeifer, Candy Pfeifer and Mary Jane Carter, and also introduces listeners to The Pfeifers newest addition, keyboardist/vocalist, Justin Hill.

Produced and arranged by noted producer Steve Mauldin, Carry The Banner, features 10 cuts, including two instrumental ballads. Prolific writers who contributed to the recording include Chris Binion, Rebecca Peck, Paula Stefanovich and Karen Harding, as well as group members Candy Pfeifer and Justin Hill. The recording reflects the rich musical heritiage of a ministry that spans three generations, encompassing more than 60 years. The recording is a tribute to Pfeifer patriarch Don Pfeifer, John and Candys dad, who passed away in 2007. Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease several years before his death, Candy explains. As we watch him experience this season, it was a very difficult season of life for us, as well. He became combative and noncompliant and had been unable to communicate for months, but as John and I were visiting with him one day he looked straight into my eyes and very clearly said carry the banner.
