Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Artist: Nelons Project Title: Stronger Together Label: Daywind Producers: Jason Clark A few decades ago I attended a Southern Gospel Music concert. At this concert, I met a bass singer who would go on to become one of my all-time favorite singers. His name was Rex Nelon. To be honest, as a teenage boy that day, I was likely more interested in meeting a couple of other singers named Kelly and Janet but I found all of the members of the group to be incredibly nice that day. However, it was Rex that talked a long time to me and answered every question I had about singing in a group and being a part of the Southern Gospel industry. Questions I am sure he had answered a thousand times before. Today, Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark and the rest of their family, Amber and Autumn are carrying on the legacy of the Nelons. One of their new projects is titled “Stronger Together” and I believe this project shows just how strong this group is and will be for many years to come.
The project begins with a song titled “In My Father’s House” and this song it a wonderful reminder of the many blessings that awaits us in God’s House! It is also the brand new radio single for the Nelons! Jason Clark and Constant Change wrote the next song titled “One Little Word.” What a great song this is as it reminds us that the name of Jesus is one little word but it is the solution and answer to every problem and question we face in this world. “Family Chain” is a song written by Joe Isaacs and it speaks of our loved ones who have gone on to Glory. It has a beautiful message of hope as we think of joining our loved ones one day in Heaven.
Artist: Nelons Project Title: Family Harmony Label: Daywind Producer: Jason Clark Family harmony has been a part of Southern Gospel Music almost since the inception of it. There have been many incredibly popular family groups over the years that have paved the way for today’s best-known family groups. There is something about family harmony that just seems tighter and smoother than any other kind of harmony. One of the family groups traveling today can trace their roots in Southern Gospel Music back over several decades. The Nelons are that group and they are one of the finest traveling today. One of their latest projects is appropriately titled, “Family Harmony.”
This project gets off to a fun and rousing start as the Nelons sing “I Just Can’t Make It By Myself.” This song has been around southern Gospel music for a few years and it reminds us just how much we need God in our lives to make it through the tough times and to make our lives complete. “Greater Things” is the next song on the project and what a great song that reminds us of the greater things that we are destined to see as Christians when we get to Heaven. Jason Clark is one of today’s best songwriters in Southern Gospel Music and he contributes to three of the songs on this project including “Days Of Jericho.” It is an up tempo song that will be enjoyed by all who hear it.
Artist: Aaron and Amanda Crabb Project Title: Restore Label: Difference Media Producers: Aaron Crabb
The Crabb Family has a long history in Southern Gospel Music. When the family started traveling, the “kids” were quite young but as they have grown up and started families of their own, they have also branched out and started their own very successful ministries. Aaron Crabb and his wife, Amanda have one of those ministries as pastors and singers and their latest project is titled “Restore.” The project has thirteen songs that are all rich in content and performance.
The project begins with a song titled “Time Flies.” I love this song and the message as it reminds us to slow down in life and take in all of those memories that we are making along the way. Next up on the project is a song titled “The Water.” The message is a great one and the performance is stellar as well. The tempo picks up with the next song titled “Two Coats.” What a wonderful message in this song that symbolizes our decision in life to follow Christ by taking off the old coat and putting on the new! I mentioned the project is titled “Restore” and the title song is next with “Restore Me.” What a great message of the restoration that God can and will bring to our lives if we will just ask Him.
Artist: Second-Half Quartet Project Title: Refreshing Label: Daywind Producers: Gerald Wolfe and Mark Trammell
I have been to many concerts over the years and have often enjoyed the “make-shift” groups that might sing a song or two in the second half. Well, Greater Vision, Mark Trammell and Pat Barker have taken this to another level and have actually organized and perfected the Second Half Quartet! Gerald Wolfe accompanies on the piano as Chris Allman, Rodney Griffin, Mark Trammell and Pat Barker handle the vocals. The end result is a great quartet and their debut project is sure to be a favorite of many.
The project begins with an old classic titled “Cheer The Weary Traveler.” It has been a few years since I heard this song but I enjoyed this vocally smooth version of the song very much. “I’m Going Up When I Die” is the next song on the project and this song celebrates our home going to Heaven when we, as Christians, pass on from this earth. There are a lot of former Cathedral Quartet songs on this project and “Gonna Shout All Over Heaven” is one of them! It is another song about moving over to Heaven when out time on earth is done and it brings back such great memories of George and Glen and the rest of the Cathedrals.
Artist: Ivan Parker Project Title: Dancing In The Rain Label: Difference Media Producers: Garry Jones
If I were to start listing my all-time favorite lead singers the list would go like this; Glen Payne of the Cathedrals, Jim Hammill of the Kingsmen, Jake Hess of the Statesmen and Imperials and Ivan Parker of Gold City. I actually first heard Ivan sing with the Singing Americans but it was with Gold City that I really began to notice him and his talent. Of course, it has been several years since Ivan was with Gold City and since then he has enjoyed a very successful solo career. Ivan has a brand new project on a brand new record label and it is very good!
The project starts out with the upbeat title cut, “Dancing In The Rain.” The message is a great one that even when the storms come in life we can just dance in the rain because God has never let us down. That is a great philosophy that all Christians should live by! Ivan has always had a special way of delivering the power ballads and “That’s What Love Does” fits that bill. What a great song that expresses a great definition of love. I love how the song ties into Crucifixion Day and reminding us of the love that Jesus had for all of mankind that day. A terrific upbeat song is next and “Jesus Plus Nothing” is the title. It is a great reminder that Jesus plus nothing equals everything! What a great truth, Jesus is all we will ever need in this life.
