The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. You could never write the history of Southern Gospel Music without including the great Chuck Wagon Gang.  The group has been around for over 70 years and they have spent a good portion of those 70 years at the forefront of the industry!  Now the group members today have not been there for 70 years but they have done an exceptionally good job of keeping that same sound that the Chuck Wagon Gang has had for years!

"Happy Am I" is the first song and I remember this song from about 30 years ago!  My parents listened to the Chuck Wagon Gang and I remember a number of these songs.  "Oh Lord Hasten That Day" is the next song and it's great!  "I'll Live Forever" reminds the listener that Christians will live on in Heaven forever!  "I'm Rejoicing" features the great harmonizing talent of the Chuck Wagon Gang and also conveys the message of rejoicing in our relationship with Christ.

"Beautiful Home" is a song I know well.  I remember the Kingsmen singing it for years but I also love the Chuck Wagon Gang's version!  "Wade On Out" is another classic written by Mosie Lister.  It encourages the listener to wade on out in the water and be baptized!  I must admit that I don't know the next song on the project.  The song is titled "Songs Of Old" and it reminds us of those many old songs and the convicting power of them!  "I Have A Prayer" is a very powerful song about the power of prayer.

"Higher On The Mountain" is the next song on the project and it is vintage Chuck Wagon Gang!  I love this song.  "Meet Him At The Gate" is the next song and it's very enjoyable to hear this song about Heaven.  That theme continues as the Chuck Wagon Gang sings "In Canaan's Fair Land."  The final song on the project carries that same Heaven theme as they beautifully sing, "Swing Wide The Gates."

I must admit that before this recording, my exposure to the Chuck Wagon Gang was as a child.  I remember that I loved the music then and myBuy It Now! parents were (and still are) huge fans.  I enjoyed hearing this project and seeing that the Chuck Wagon Gang hasn't lost a step!  The distinctive sound is very much in tow and this project is awesome.  My favorite songs from the project are "Happy Am I," "Wade On Out" and "Higher On The Mountain."  The Chuck Wagon Gang has 12 great songs and supreme production on this project.  The project is first class all the way, as the Chuck Wagon Gang has been for more than 70 years!  For more information on the Chuck Wagon Gang, visit their website at www.thechuckwagongang.net.

Quick ... what group is one of the most talented and fastest rising groups in Southern Gospel Music?  Why, it's the Quicks of course!  What a great sound and this is one talented family.  The latest project from the Quicks is a great listen that you will enjoy time and time again.

"Right Here Right Now" was written by Sally Quick and this up tempo song starts the project off right!  It is a great song and the Quicks sing it perfectly.  "At The End Of The Day" is a song that reminds us of God's faithfulness to us throughout each day.  The next song is titled "He Went A Little Farther" and it's a unique song but the message is awesome how the Lord went all the way to Grace!  I love it!  "An Ordinary Day" is one of those songs that just grabs you right from the beginning.  The songs speaks of how each day, no matter how ordinary, is the day that the Lord has made.

Victory Song is a mixed trio with a tremendous amount of talent.  The group's latest project is a very good one that showcases the group's talents and abilities.  The project has ten songs that will continue to bless you the more you listen!

"Thanks" is a great way to start the project and is a wonderful song of thanks to God!  "Highway To Home" is an up tempo song about our journey here on earth to Heaven!  "Help Is On The Way" is a beautiful song that reminds us that no matter what we are going though, God is right there to help us.

"A Song In The Night" is another song of hope for those going through a trial.  "Death On The Cross" reminds us of the price God paid on the Cross and also reminds us that He died in our place.  A great song with a wonderful message.  "More Than Enough" is a beautiful melody reminding the listener that God is so much more than enough to face anything here on earth.  "Heaven In Your Heart" is a cool song!  It's an up tempo song and it reminds us that if we know God and follow His leading, we can have a little Heaven in our heart!

"Which Side Of The Cross" is another beautiful song that holds a unique, but very good, message.  The perspective of the Cross and the God's Salvation call is a little different than most I have heard but it needs to be heard and I love it.  "Mighty Strong Hand" is another song reminding us that God will lead us through life and that His mighty strong hand is holding ours.  The final song on the project is "I'm Right Here" and it's another strong song from this group.

It appears that the three group members of Victory Song have written each of the songs on the project.  The songs are all better than average songs.  The vocal presentations on the songs are also better than average.  I really enjoyed the project and getting acquainted with group.  My favorite songs from the project are "Heaven In Your Heart," "Which Side Of The Cross" and "Highway To Home."  The entire project has ten great songs and Victory Song has hit a home run with this project!  For more information on the group, visit www.victorysonggospel.com.

I believe this is the third Danny Riddle CD that we have reviewed here at the SG Music Forum.  We have come to expect quality recordings from Danny and his latest recording does not disappoint.  "Here Today" is a nice collection of 16 songs, all of which are very enjoyable.

The title song is first up on the CD and "Here Today Gone Tomorrow" reminds us just how fleeting the things of this earth are.  "One More Mountain To Climb" is a fast tempo song that talks about that journey to Heaven.  "I Said No" is a song that reminds us what can happen when we say no to God.  The next song is a song that probably everyone will know.  The hymn "Are You Washed In The Blood" is next and Danny does a fine job on the song.

"Count It All Joy" has a very important message reminding us to count it a joy to go through a trial with Christ.  A truth that we all need to be reminded of on occasion.  "Lord You've Been Mighty Good To Me" is next and this song is a prayer of thanks set to music.  "That's All That Matters To Me" is a song with a wonderful message.  It talks of all of the great things we will see and find in Heaven and those will be great but all that matters is that Jesus will be there and we will be able to look upon His face.  "I Can't Stop Loving Him" is an older song from the 1970's but the message of our Love for God never grows old!

"Old Sinner Like Me" is a catchy tune with a good message.  It asks a simple question of is there room in Heaven for an old sinner like me?  Of course, the answer is yes!  "The Potter" reminds us that God is molding each of us each and every day.  "Power In The Blood" is the next song and this old hymn is always a favorite.  The next song is a great message about how much God must love us.  The title of the song is "He Must Have Loved Me A Lot."

"New Friend" speaks of the change on the inside we experience once we become a Christian.  The next song is another old hymn and I am certain you will enjoy Danny's version of "Just A Closer Walk."  "The Outstretched Hand" is the next song and it leads to "Brush Arbor Meeting."  That song speaks of those old fashioned meeting that many people will remember.  The final track on the project is a reprise of "Here Today Gone Tomorrow."

Danny Riddle once again delivers a solid project.  There are 16 songs on the project which is almost unheard of any more.  All of the songs are strong songs and there is a great mix of old and new songs.  The vocal performances and orchestration is top notch as is the production.  My favorite songs from the project are "Here Today Gone Tomorrow," "He Must Have Loved Me A Lot" and "That's All That Matters To Me."  It's another good project from Danny who just seems to get better and better which each new CD.  For more information on Danny Riddle, visit his website at www.dannyriddle.com.

Let me say right up front that the Booth Brothers are one of my favorite groups.  I have followed their ministry since the late 1990's and I always look forward to a new Booth Brothers project.  This latest project is the Booth Brothers as I first remember them with incredible harmonies and great vocal abilities.

The first song is a great Mosie Lister song titled "At The Right Time."  The song is a slow song that is awesome and you will enjoy.  "All Creatures Of Our God And King" is an old hymn that you will probably find in your hymn book.  The Booth Brothers have an incredible arrangement of this awesome song.  "Tears Are A Language" reminds just what an awesome God we serve.  He understands our tears and will help us deal with them.  "Passing The Faith Along" is an old Gaither Vocal Band song and the Booth Brothers version is on that same level.  It also reminds us to be out there each day telling someone about God and His life changing message!

"No More" is a very good song that really showcases the harmonies of the Booth Brothers.  "Storm Now And Then" is an awesome song written by Mosie Lister.  The song reminds us that it takes a storm now and then to remind us to depend on the Lord.  "I'm Forgiven" is a song that I remember the Imperials singing and Jim Brady does a great job on the lead of this incredible song that I had all but forgotten about.

"Over The Moon" is a quartet standard.  In fact Michael shared with me how their father sang this song when he sang with the Rebels Quartet.  IBuy It Now! love the song and Michael does an outstanding job of singing it.  "Hallelujah Meeting" is an upbeat song that was written by Ronny Hinson.  The Booth Brothers hit a home run with this one.  "The Eyes Of Jesus" is a Joel Hemphill song reminding us that God is right there with us no matter how it seems.  The project ends fittingly with another Mosie Lister song titled "Restore My Soul."

The Booth Brothers are one of the classiest groups around.  Their harmony is unsurpassed by anyone and the guys are some of the nicest in the industry.  This project is first class all the way.  The song selection is great and Nick Bruno's production touch can be heard.  My favorite songs were tough to choose but I finally decided on "I'm Forgiven," "At The Right Time" and "Storm Now And Then."  I love this project and you will too when you get your copy!  You can learn more about the Booth Brothers at www.boothbrothers.com.
