Artist: Randy Simpson
Project Title: I'll Fly Away Label: Church House Productions Producer: Randy Simpson, Mark Flanagan Reviewed By: Scott Evans Purchase this project at: www.junipersquare.com Randy Simpson is an artist based in Carlisle, PA and someone that I have known for years. His latest project is a collection of older hymns and Southern Gospel songs that you will enjoy. The project begins with "Farther Along." I love the message of that great, old song and Randy delivers perfectly. "The Old Rugged Cross" is a standard in the hymn books and Randy does a fine job singing it. "Master Of The Sea" is a wonderful song written by Squire Parsons. You will enjoy and be blessed by Randy's version. |

Artist: Messiah's Messengers
Project Title: 35 Years Of God's Boundless Love Label: Independent Producer: The Messiah's Messengers Reviewed By: Scott Evans Purchase this project at: Messiah's Messengers is a group that is not far from our offices here in Lancaster, PA. They are celebrating their 35th year of singing and this project has some great songs on it. Most of the songs you will recognize and you will enjoy them and be blessed by them. There is an obvious Cathedrals influence on this group and "Boundless Love" is one of my favorite songs fro that group. This version is good too! "Nail It To The Cross" is a great Marcia Henry song that is next on the project. "It's Not What's Over The Door" is a great song that reminds us that your personal relationship with Christ is what counts, not what church you go to. "I Thirst" is a song written by Bev Lowry with a great message. |

Artist: Watkins Family
Project Title: Darkness Wept
Label: Independent
Producer: Mark Fain, Karen Peck Gooch
Purchase this project at: www.watkinsfamilymusic.com
The latest project from the Watkins Family is a fine effort with 14 songs on the project! The project is titled "Darkness Wept" and we just received it for review here at our offices.
"I'll Look To Him" reminds us to look to God in times of trouble. The title song, "Darkness Wept" is the next song and it is a very moving song. "You Can't Wash Your Hand Free" is a more up tempo song and the message is a very good one. "Jesus Is My Lord" is the next song and it is a very good effort from the Watkins Family.

Artist: Greater Vision
Project Title: Fifteen Label: Daywind Producer: Daywind Records Reviewed By: Abigail Wingate Purchase this project at: www.junipersquare.com Can you believe it has been 15 years since Greater Vision began their incredible music ministry? I remember their very first project and I remember a lot of quality projects and songs over the year. A few faces have changed in the group but really, for 15 years, the changes have been minimal. This project celebrates the 15 years of Greater Vision with (appropriately enough) 15 of their best known songs. "My Name Is Lazarus" is a favorite of mine and it the lead song on the project. This is followed by "With All The Many Miracles," "So Much God" and "Just Ask." "I Believe" is another favorite of mine and that is the next song on the project. |
