Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Project Title: Love Came Through

Label: Independent
Producers: Jeff Collins

Southern Gospel Music got its start with male quartets and those who know me well know that I have a special place in my heart for male quartets!  It has been several years since I received music from the Skyline Boys but their most recent project arrived in my mailbox a few weeks ago and I was thrilled to receive it and listen to it!  The project is titled “Love Came Through” and it is an outstanding project from this talented quartet.

“It Makes Me Want To Go” is an upbeat song that is a great start to this project!  It reminds us of all of the great reasons that makes a Christian want to go to Heaven.  The title track of the project is next with “Love Came Through.”  This is a beautiful song reminding the listener that the Love of Christ will always come through!  Next on the project is a song titled “I’m A New Man” and this song is a terrific song that reminds us of the amazing change that God will make in you when He comes into your life!  I love the line that says “I’m a new man because of an old rugged cross.”

“I’m Not Saying Goodbye” is a song that will be a comfort to anyone who has lost a loved one.  It reminds us of that blessed promise that as Christians we may be apart for a while but we will all be together again for eternity!  The tempo picks up again with “It Won’t Be Long.”  This is a great quartet song that showcases the quartet quite well.  The message is also encouraging one stating that it will not be long before we are joining our loved ones in Heaven.  There are many classic songs in Southern Gospel Music and “He’s All I Need” is one of them!  Jodi does an outstanding job singing this song and I loved hearing it again.  “Back To The Altar” is a wonderfully crafted song reminding us that when we stray, we can go back to the altar where we gave our life to Christ and started our life new.

Project Title: A Gathering; The Hits Of Then & Now

Label: Daywind
Producers: Jason Webb

Several years ago the Hoskins Family dominated the Southern Gospel Music Charts and were honored in several other ways as well.  I was thrilled to receive this project from them as they make their way back to Southern Gospel Music.  Their latest project is a terrific collection of music that you will enjoy immensely.

“Heaven Awaits” gets things started with an upbeat song reminding us of our final destination as a Christian!  Next on the project is “You Keep Loving Me” and what a great reminder.  This song reminds the listener that God keeps right on loving us no matter what we do.  What a great reminder and thought!  “Safe Thus Far” was one of those songs that got a lot of those accolades a few years ago.  I have always loved this song as it reminds us that God has brought us through this life and we are safe thus far!  “God Is Big” is one of those driving songs that gets your toe tapping but the message should not be overlooked in this song!  It reminds us that God is bigger than anything we face in our life!

“Whenever I Hear His Name” is a beautiful song expressing the power in the name of Jesus.  I love this song and the message in it.  Next on the project is a wonderful song about God’s Grace.  “What About His Grace” is the name of the song and it is a beautiful reminder of what God has done and His Grace.  “Written In Heaven” is a song that reminds us that when we get saved our name is written down in Heaven and that is all that really matters in the course of our life.

Artist: Adam Crabb
Project Title: Surrendered

Label: Daywind
Producers: Adam Crabb, Jason Crabb

Adam Crabb is a name that has been around Southern Gospel Music for quite a few years now.  Of course, he started with the Crabb Family and then moved on his solo ministry and is now a member of the Gaither Vocal Band!  This review on Adam’s latest solo project though and it is a very good one!

“That Whosoever Was Me” is the first song on the project and I love this song as it reminds us that God has called us to be His Child!  The second song on the project is titled “Covered.”  What an incredible message in this song!!!  It reminds us that no matter what we have done in our past, it is covered by the Blood of Jesus!  The tempo picks up a bit with “I’ve Got A Right To Pray.”  It is the story of Daniel in a song and I love it!  “Sometimes God Allows” is an absolutely amazing song!  It reminds us that often God will get between us and a storm but there are times when God allows the storms to come into our lives.  I love this song and the message in it.

Next on the project we find an up tempo song titled “Hey Now.”  This song reminds us that we can lay our burdens down at Jesus feet and that God’s Grace is always available to His Children.  “Surrender” is the title cut to the project and this song reminds that God gave everything to us and the very least we owe Him is to surrender our hearts to Him.  “Why I Am Who I Am” is a title that intrigued me quite a bit!  It turns out that this song is an excellent song about the call on the life of each Christian.

Artist: Rick Webb Family
Project Title: Committed To The Call

Label: Song Garden Music Group
Producers: Lynn, Dale and Marilyn Keffer, David Staton

The Rick Webb Family is a very talented family group in Southern Gospel Music!  The group’s latest project is titled “Committed To The Call” and this project has a lot of great songs on it that are sure to please fans of the group in every way and it will also likely gain the group a few more new fans!

“See What A Morning” gets the project off to a rousing start and the harmonies on this song are wonderful in every way!  The great old hymn “I Will Sing Of My Redeemer” is next on the project and this beautiful arrangement will quickly become a favorite of everyone who hears it!  Next on the project is a beautiful song titled “Satisfied.”  What an amazing song reminding us that Jesus Christ will satisfy every longing in our heart an in our life.

Another old hymn is next and I really enjoyed the Rick Webb Family’s version of “The Unclouded Day.”  That has always been a favorite song of mine as it reminds us of how just amazing Heaven will be and this version of the song is top-notch in every way.  “Let The Rocks Keep Silent” picks up the tempo and the Rick Webb Family seems to really excel at this type of song!  I love this version of this song that tells the rocks to keep silent while we praise!  The next song on the project is an incredible song that reminds us of the proper response to Christ when He calls us to do something and that is “Send Me.”  What a wonderful song and a great performance on this song.  Next on the project is “All Rise.” I love this song which is a call to worship the Holy God!

Artist: Browders
Project Title: Time Machine; A Musical Journey

Label: Daywind
Producers: Kevin Ward, The Browders

The Browders are a group that I have been familiar with for quite a long time.  However, this is the very first time that I have received a full project them!  It is a wonderful project that is very good and I am excited to be able to review their latest project titled “Time Machine; A Musical Journey.”

The project begins with a wonderful song of worship titled “Lift Up His Name.”  It proclaims that we will always life up the Name of Jesus and forever tell the world who He is!  Next on the project is a song titled “He’s Alive.”  It proclaims that God is alive and has risen again!  What a great proclamation and what an amazing truth as well!  The title cut of the project is next with “Time Machine.”  The song is a great reminder that we cannot go back in time so we should make the most of every moment, each and every day!  “Listening For The Shout” really picks up the tempo and it is a great song reminding everyone that we are just listening for the shout when God calls us home!

“He Took The Nails” is a beautiful ballad reminding the listener that Christ took our place on Calvary.  It is a very moving song which personally blessed me tremendously.  I love the lines that say “I took forgiveness.  He took the nails.”  Next on the project is a very good song of encouragement titled “Whatever You’re Going Through.”  The song reminds us that God will always be there no matter what you are going through.  There have been a long of songs written about God’s plan being the best plan but “God Knows What’s Best” was written by Tammy Browder and this really hits home that great message that every Christian knows but needs to be reminded of from time to time.
