After reading  the Lord's Prayer, I found myself meditating on the words, "Your will be done."   I am constantly praying for God's will to be done in my life.  Although, that can be such a hard concept for me to grasp and apply to my life because often times I think, I can do things on my own. I find myself falling short every time. I have all these glamorous goals and dreams I want to accomplish, but God has really been showing me that I will be the happiest in His will and that this life is not about me at all, but instead about glorifying Him.

We put so much stock in this life because that is all we have ever known. This life is what we are used to. Through media, we have been influenced that the only people who matters is us, and that we have full control over our lives. Although, God deserves top priority in our life. He does not mold His will to ours, but instead our will gets molded into His. In the end, only what is done for God will matter because life is but a vapor, we are just passing through. It is so easy for me to start putting my total focus on this life because I am living in the world. Although, God tells us to be set apart from the world.

In Romans 12:2, God's Word tells us, "be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove that what is good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Ariel Ryan attends Lancaster Bible College (http://www.lbc.edu) and is a junior in the Communications Department. She is a member of Safe Harbor Baptist Church in Cochranville, Pennsylvania where she plays piano, clarinet, and sings. She also plays and sings at other churches, senior living centers, and nursing homes in a gospel quartet, “All four Him”, which she is a member of. She has composed a variety of music and has been able to play and sing her songs to a wide range of audiences. She also enjoys writing. She currently writes for the yearbook at her College. She was saved at five years old when she saw herself as a sinner and knew she needed a Savior. She feels her decision to follow Jesus Christ is the best decision she will ever make. Her desire is to be a light for Him in a world full of darkness, brokenness, and chaos.
