I have always been amazed at the amount of talent we can find in the ranks of Southern Gospel Music.  I get multiple CD’s for review each week and many of them are from artists that I have never heard of!  It has been my pleasure to meet and get to know a member of the Millers and I have really enjoyed hearing their latest recording.

The project begins with an upbeat song that has been a favorite of mine since I first heard it!  It is titled “Joy’s Gonna Come In The Morning.”  I love this great song at it reminds us that after a trial comes our way, joy will come in the morning!  The project continues with “Red Letter Day.”  I love the message in this song that reminds us that if we live for Jesus all of our days can be red letter days!  The next song on the project is an old song that is one of my favorites.  The song is titled “Ten Thousand Years.”  This reminded me of my mom as it was one of her favorite songs as well and I absolutely love the harmony on this song from the Millers.  The pace picks up again as the Millers sing “Nothing’s Too Hard For God.”  What an awesome song that reminds us that nothing is too hard for God!  I love how the song runs through a dozen or so things from the Bible where God came through in impossible circumstance!

“Nothing Greater Than Grace” is the next song on the project and this song has a beautiful delivery!  The song has an amazing message about the grace of Jesus Christ!  “He’s Alive” is a familiar song in Southern Gospel Music but the Millers have an exception version of this great song that simply reminds us that Jesus is ALIVE!!! When it comes to classic songs in Southern Gospel Music, “I Wouldn’t Take Nothing For My Journey Now” is certainly in that conversation!  The Millers sing that song next on this project and they do a very fine job of delivering this classic song.

The group’s current radio single is next and it is another classic Southern Gospel song! This one is titled “What A Morning” and it is a great arrangement of the song that should do very well on Southern Gospel radio.  Things slow down tremendously as the Millers sing “In Jesus Name.”  I love the line in this song that says “I want to be used to make a change in Jesus Name!”  That should be the prayer of every Christian!  I love the next song titled “Almost Morning.”  This is one of those songs that will encourage anyone who is going through a trial as it reminds the listener that God is bringing you through your trial and it is almost morning!  The final song on the project is titled “Matter Of Time.”  Oh my, this song is great!  The song reminds us that Jesus is coming back to claim His Children, it is just a matter of time!  That should make us all jump for JOY!

The Millers have a very good project here that they can be very proud of.  The production, song selection, instrumentation, vocals and harmony are top notch on this project.  The project has eleven songs, any one of which could be a favorite!  My favorites were difficult to narrow down to three but I finally decided on “Nothing Greater Than Grace,” “Nothing’s Too Hard For God” and “Almost Morning.”  Any of the other songs could be favorites!  In fact, my favorites change every time I listen to the project!  The Millers named this project “Joy” and that is appropriate since the project is bound to bring many years of joy and countless blessings to the listeners!  For more information on the Millers, visit their website at www.millermusicgroup.org.
