Lindsey Graham is a talented young lady who has a number of recorded projects to her credit.  We have been honored to review her last two Gospel projects and now we are pleased to Include another project from Lindsey titled “My Christmas Wish.”  This recording is an outstanding collection of Christmas music from one of today’s top female soprano singers.

This project begins with an appropriate song, an old classic Christmas song, titled “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.”  As most of you reading this are well aware, this song reminds about many of the wonderful things that makes Christmas such a great time of the year.  The next song on the project is a beautiful melody titled “Heirlooms.”  The song reminisces about some of the many memories and heirlooms that we have in our lives but it goes on to remind us that our family and, more importantly, Jesus is far more than an heirloom to us.  “Breath Of Heaven” is the next song and this beautiful song begins with being written from Mary’s perspective and it tells some of thoughts that she might have had that first Christmas season.  By the time the song is over it is a beautiful prayer for all of us that God would pour His holiness over us.  Next on the project is “Go Tell.”  This is a song has an upbeat tempo and the message is one that encourages and reminds the listener to tell others about the wonderful message that Jesus Is Born!

There are many traditional songs that are associated with Christmas and Lindsay has three of them in a medley next on the project.  This medley includes; “Winter Wonderland,” “Sleigh Ride” and “White Christmas.”  She has a beautiful rendition of each and this is very enjoyable.  One of the modern Christmas classics is a song that came out a few years ago titled “Grown Up Christmas List.”  This song has a beautiful sentiment of some of the things we wish for our world as an adult.  Lindsey does a great job with this Christmas favorite.  “O Come O Come Emmanuel” is the next song on this project and this recognizable song has a beautiful melody and lyric which I know will bless the listener.  Of course, when we think of Christmas we think of those many Christmas carols that we grew up singing in church.  Lindsey has put together a medley of them next with includes “Silent Night,” “Away In A Manger,” “O Little Town Of Bethlehem,” “Joy To The World” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.”  It is a great collection of some of your favorites.

My favorite Christmas song has long been “O Holy Night.”  I have heard this song my entire performed and heard it performed by many different Gospel and secular artists.  Lindsey, with her clear and soaring soprano voice, performs this song to perfection.  Her version is easily in my top five performances of this song joining the likes of David Phelps and Gerald Wolfe in that top 5.  Buddy Greene and Mark Lowry wrote a song that quickly became a classic Christmas song a few years ago.  Of course, I am talking about “Mary Did You Know” and Lindsey records that song next on this project.  I have always loved that lyric as it wonders aloud what Mary knew and might have been thinking about that Christmas Day when Christ was born.  “Heaven’s Child” is another beautiful melody that celebrates that Child that was born to save the world the first Christmas morning.  The project’s final song is “The Christmas Song.”  Of course, this is a familiar Christmas classic and a perfect way to end this outstanding project.

Lindsey Graham has an amazing amount of talent and her voice just seems to be made for Christmas music!  I enjoy Christmas projects that, first of all, have a healthy dose of the real meaning of Christmas and that celebrates the birth of Christ.  I also enjoy a project that puts you in the Christmas Spirit with some of the classic Christmas songs.  This project accomplishes both of those things!  My favorite songs from this project are “O Holy Night,” “Grown Up Christmas List” and “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.”  Lindsey does an excellent job of singing these song and there is no doubt that you will be enjoying this Christmas project for many more Christmas seasons to come.  For more information on Lindsey Graham, visit her website at www.lindseygrahamministries.com.
