Adam Crabb is a name that has been around Southern Gospel Music for quite a few years now.  Of course, he started with the Crabb Family and then moved on his solo ministry and is now a member of the Gaither Vocal Band!  This review on Adam’s latest solo project though and it is a very good one!

“That Whosoever Was Me” is the first song on the project and I love this song as it reminds us that God has called us to be His Child!  The second song on the project is titled “Covered.”  What an incredible message in this song!!!  It reminds us that no matter what we have done in our past, it is covered by the Blood of Jesus!  The tempo picks up a bit with “I’ve Got A Right To Pray.”  It is the story of Daniel in a song and I love it!  “Sometimes God Allows” is an absolutely amazing song!  It reminds us that often God will get between us and a storm but there are times when God allows the storms to come into our lives.  I love this song and the message in it.

Next on the project we find an up tempo song titled “Hey Now.”  This song reminds us that we can lay our burdens down at Jesus feet and that God’s Grace is always available to His Children.  “Surrender” is the title cut to the project and this song reminds that God gave everything to us and the very least we owe Him is to surrender our hearts to Him.  “Why I Am Who I Am” is a title that intrigued me quite a bit!  It turns out that this song is an excellent song about the call on the life of each Christian.

Next on the project is a very up tempo version of the old hymn, “Higher Ground.”  I must admit that I absolutely loved it!!! It also features the unmistakable bass voice of Gene MacDonald!  “The God I Know Now” is a very potent song that reminds us that God is a loving God and that He loves us always.  Next on the project is a wonderful song titled “Sometimes he Whispers.”  This is a wonderful song of encouragement that I know anyone going through a tough time will be blessed by.  “Jehovah Jireh” is the final song on the project and this is an outstanding end to this project and it reminds about the power of prayer and of trusting in God to see us through.

As I said, Adam Crabb is a well-known singer in Southern Gospel Music!  He is a talented vocalist and everyone reading this is likely well aware of his talent.  This solo project is a good one that is full of encouraging song and songs that will bless you many, many times!  My favorite songs from the project are “Sometimes God Allows,” “Why I Am Who I Am” and “Higher Ground.”  All in all, this is a good project that everyone who listens to will enjoy.
