It is no secret at all and if you know me at all you know that I have loved male quartet music since I was a little kid.  I grew up listening to groups like the Cathedrals and the Kingsmen and JD Sumner and the Stamps.  Thankfully, there are many male quartets around today that are carrying on the tradition of that great four-part harmony.  One of those quartets is Tribute and their latest project is a good one.

The project gets off to a rousing start with "He Can Do It Again."  The song also carries with it a great reminder that all of those things that God has done in the past, He can do them all again. Next on the project we find a song titled "All Made It Ashore."  This Marcia Henry song is a well crafted song with a terrific message. "I Am A Soldier" slows down the tempo and this is a song about the victorious soldier that we all are in God's Army. Next up is a great quartet song titled "I Remember The Day."  It is a fantastic day that takes us back to that great day when Jesus saved our soul!

"Those Who Know Me" keeps that tempo right up there as the song lists a number of things that we who know Christ get to enjoy each and every day.  Next on the project is Dianne Wilkinson and Rebecca J. Peck song titled "I Will Rise."  This song reminds us that through Jesus Christ we can and will rise above any trials that come our way because trials do not last forever.  The pace picks up once again with "Everything I Need."  What a great reminder that Jesus is everything that we will ever need here in this life.

"Everybody Needs Jesus" is a very true statement and it is also the title of the next song on this project.  This slow and melodious song is enjoyable and has a strong and positive message reminding the listener that everybody does indeed need Jesus.  The next song on this project is a wonderful song of encouragement.  The title of the song is "In The Valley He Can Hear My Voice."  It reminds us that even while traveling through the valleys of life that we can hear the voice of God. "I Could Sing About Heaven" is a great, old song that correctly states that we could sing about Heaven for a million years and still not tell the whole story! The final song on this project is titled "God Of All My Days." This is a tremendous song that reminds us that God is God of each and every day and God through the good and the bad.  It is a great and encouraging way to end this project.

Tribute is a wonderful quartet that continues to carry on that tradition in Southern Gospel Music.  I have enjoyed this group for several years and this project is another good one from these gentlemen.  The songs are great and Daywind always delivers top-notch production.  My favorite songs from this project are "God Of All My Days," "I Could Sing About Heaven" and "I Remember The Day." If you enjoy good, solid, traditional, male quartet singing then this project by the Tribute Quartet is for you!  For more information on the Tribute Quartet, visit their website at www.tributequartet.com.
