RUN FOR YOU LIFE!!!!!! That phrase will probably conjure up different images for different people.  It sounds like a new health club slogan imploring you to get into shape to extend your life!  It could be the name of a race or marathon that could double as a fundraiser for one of the charities that researches cures for disease.  I am sure we have all heard that phrase uttered in a horror film as the latest monster chases the actors and actresses across the screen!

Well, for me, and my friends Final Harvest, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE is the name of the revival that we are co-hosting in Rochester, NY on June 5-7, 2015.  There will be musical guests including Jason Runnels (formerly of Tony Gore and Majesty and the Down East Boys), Greg Logins and Revival and Jeffrey Branam.  Final Harvest will be appearing each day and Wanda Osborne will be the special speaker each day.  I will be emceeing the event.

You know, as I look at the thoughts of what RUN FOR YOUR LIFE might mean in my first paragraph, I believe there might be some correlation between them and this event.  While I cannot guarantee you that our event can extend your earthly life, I can promise you that it will help you get your life into shape!  Our message is not a new one.  It is one of Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.  He can change your life and He can give you an eternal life in Heaven.  That sure sounds like a great way to get your life in shape to me!

I also cannot promise that our event can cure any diseases or solve any of your problems.  However, I can promise you that we will introduce you to the one who can!  That is right!  Jesus Christ is the Master Physician, He is also the greatest Financial Planner I know and He, and His Word – The Bible, is full of the most wonderful, accurate and helpful counsel that you will find.  Yes, Jesus Christ is the answer to any problem that you might have.  The solution is not always easy and not always exactly what you want but God, in His infinite knowledge and wisdom, always knows what is best and He never has and never will make a mistake.  Let Him deal with your problems.  He already knows the solution!

Finally, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!  We have all heard an actor or actress scream these words in a movie or on a television program as they are being chased by an evil person, or a monster of some sort or maybe even a tornado or some other natural disaster.  Well, you may not know it but the devil is constantly attacking you.  With God, you do not need to RUN FOR YOUR LIFE because God is greater than the devil and He will help you fight that battle with the devil and more importantly, if you go into that fight with God leading the way, you will win!

Our message at the RUN FOR YOUR LIFE REVIVAL is one of hope.  A hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.  If you are lost and searching for that “thing” to complete and fulfill your life, Jesus Christ is the answer.  If your life is spiraling out of control, Jesus Christ can help!  If you are a Christian and need encouragement, Jesus Christ is the great encourager!  He will help you through your trial and He will reenergize your spirit and propel you to get back out there and tell others about Him.

So, I encourage you to make your plans now to run, walk or drive to the RUN FOR YOUR LIFE REVIVAL at the Elmgrove United Methodist Church in Rochester, NY on June 5-7, 2015.  Your life may just depend on it!
