Greetings! Welcome to “John’s Journeys”! I am thankful for an opportunity to share some of my thoughts, views, experiences, and knowledge on different things. I am no expert. The main thing I know is I am striving to be a Christian! I love the Lord! I am striving to make Him the most important thing in my life!

I was a DJ at KSGL, a local Christian radio station in Wichita, Kansas. I was a part of the station for sixteen and half years. We played a variety of Christian, but largely Southern Gospel. I was the Music Director for the station. I LOVED that job!!!! In my opinion, Southern Gospel Music is the absolute best music in the world!!!!!! In a future column I will share how my love for the music began. At some point, I will also share about my twins, who were born 3 months after I began my radio career.

I left KSGL in March 2005. A short time later, I began an Internet show on Tunes4Him.com and enjoyed 5 years of recording “John’s Gospel Music Show”.  I did that show until the station was closed. I have not done any kind of radio since then. There is a very good chance I may once again get back on the air! If that should happen, I will be sure to share the details!

I have been married to my wife, Denise for over 32 years. We have 24 year old twins, Michelle and Michael. As I mentioned, I love the Lord. He is so important in my life. He is the reason for my being!
