Artist: Jericho
Project Title: He Thought He Saw Jesus Label: Independent Producer: Johnny Sansom, Donna Bouvias Reviewed By: Scott Evans Purchase this project at: www.jericho4.com Jericho is a new group to me and you all know that I love new groups! This is a very talented group that you will very much enjoy. This project has some great songs and performances that will bless you. "Best Hallelujah In The House" gets this project off to an awesome start. The guys do a fine job on this song. The next song is another familiar one and Jericho does a good job with "Baptisim Of Jesse Taylor." "Shape Of The Cross" is the next song and I must say that the title of the song intrigued me quite a bit. The song has an awesome message and you need to hear the whole song to get the effect of it. It is worth taking the time to listen to it!
"I Wanna Go There" is a song that I have not heard in years! I'm not sure where they found the song but the Blue Ridge Quartet recorded it years ago and Jericho has an outstanding version of this great, forgotten song! The title song of the project is next. "He Thought He Saw Jesus" is a slow ballad that has a wonderful message about how people can see Jesus living in us. It's a great song and a timely message. "Hand Like Mine" is a Wayne Haun and Cindi Ballard song that is a very good one. The next song was written by Gerald Crabb. The title of the song is "Slow Down" and the song is a great reminder to slow down in life. A reminder that I am sure that most of us can use! "On The Authority" is a song that I have heard by the Gaither Vocal Band. Jericho has a great a cappella arrangement of this song that you will enjoy. "In God We Still Trust" is a great song reminding us that we, as a nation and as individuals, still trust in our Living God! The final song on the project is an old one that Brian Free and Assurance brought back a few years ago. Jericho does a good job on the fast paced "Long As I Got King Jesus." I mentioned that Jericho is a new group to me and I must say that I love their sound. The vocal presentations on this project are first class as is the production. The vocal arrangements are also very good and the song selection is a winning combination. My favorite songs from this project are "He Thought He Saw Jesus," "On The Authority" and "Slow Down." The entire project is very good and I am happy to recommend it to our readers. For more information on this talented group, visit their website at www.jericho4.com. |
