Russell Dean is a new artist to me. In listening to his project I can see that there is a great deal of talent not only from his singing talent but also from his songwriting ability. Russell wrote all of the songs on this project.
The project gets started with a catchy song titled "Deeper." It talks of a deeper relationship with Christ. I love the message of this song. The next song is another up beat one titled "Lord Send A Revivial." The song asks the Lord to send a revival in us and I love the way that this song is presented. "Hazel Green Eyes" is the next song on the project The song is a touching story or a young lady who could not see but knows that she will see when she crosses over into Heaven.
The title song is next on the project and "Thunder In The Desert" is a song that will bless the listener. "Rest In My Arms" is the next song on the project and it speaks of resting in the arms of Jesus. What a great thought and promise that we can rest in His arms. The next song is titled "Hallelujah Praise The Lamb" and this song is a song of worship and praise to Jesus for His Gift of Salvation. "Fly Angel Fly" is the next song and it is a touching song that will bless the listener.
"Man In The Mirror" is an interesting song title but the song talks about how the man in the mirror is changing his ways. It is a great song to challenge the listener to live for Christ. I love the next song on the project is a medley titled "To You I Run" and "Just As I Am." It's a great medley reminding once again that we can go to Jesus just as we are. It intertwines the great old hymn with a new song all in a totally different melody. The final song on the project is another medley including "I Am" and "Lullaby Of Angels."
Russell Dean has an outstanding project here. He proves he is a talented songwriter and has the voice to deliver the songs very well. The Crossroads production staff is excellent as usual and the song selection is a very good one. My favorite songs from the project are "Deeper," "Lord Send A Revival" and the medley featuring "Just As I Am" and "To You A Run."
