Ivan Parker is a name that has been around Southern Gospel Music for a long time. He spent times with groups like the Singing Americans, Gold City and The Trio. Ivan's solo projects are always a collection of great music and this project is no different.
"Big Change" gets things off to a rousing start and this John Rowsey and Garry Jones song proclaims the big change that is going to come when Christ comes the next time! The next song on the project is "When There Was Nothing To See." It's a terrific song about the resurrection of Christ. "Favorite Song Of All" picks up the tempo once again! The song talks about how a favorite song of all is the song of the Redeemed.
"Keeper Of The Lost And Found" is a song of encouragement reminding us that Christ is calling to us and He is the keeper of the lost and found. "Dig Another Well" is a song from the pen of Ronny Hinson. The song has a catchy tune and an awesome message of keeping faith in Jesus Christ. "Praise The Lord" is the old song that I have heard many people sing. I believe the first group I ever heard sing it was the Imperials. I love Ivan's version of this beautiful song. The next song picks up the tempo once again and "Twenty-Four Hours A Day" is an outstanding song. The song reminds us that God is with us 24 hours a day!
The next song was written by master songwriter Rodney Griffin. Rodney always writes great songs but "With Tears In My Eyes" is one of his best in my opinion. It talks about having tears in our eyes and a song in our heart. I love the message. Ivan brings out a Southern Gospel classic next! "Temporary Home" is the song an Ivan's version is great! The projects ends with a beautiful song. "Amazing Grace My Chains Ar Gone" is the song and the message about God's Amazing Grace is awesome!
Ivan Parker is one of the great voices in Southern Gospel Music. His projects always yield a lot of great music and this project is very good from the song selection to the production to the vocal presentations. My favorite songs were a little difficult to pick because I had about five! However, I finally picked my top three as "Dig Another Well," "Praise The Lord" and "Twenty-Four Hours A Day."
