The Kingdom Heirs have been one of the premier groups in Southern Gospel Music for several years now. They are one of the best male quartets you will hear anywhere and this project is another in a long line of great Kingdom Heir projects.
"On The Gloryland Way" gets the ball rolling right out of the gate with a terrific quartet song! The song showcases the male quartet abilities of the group and reminds us about that trip we are all on to Heaven. "Biblically Correct" is a unique song and I love it! The project talks about the Bible Stories and reminds us that the entire Bible is true! "He Locked The Gates" is an upbeat song from the pen of Rodney Griffin and it's a good one reminding us that Jesus locked the gates of Hell behind us when we got saved! The next song is one of many on the project written by Dianne Wilkinson. It features Jeff Chapman and it's a plea to Christ to help us when we need it. You know He will!
The tempo picks up again as the Kingdom Heirs sing "Fire Away." I enjoyed the song as it encourages the preacher to get out that old Gospel Gun and fire away! "Turnin' Loose" is one of those smooth harmony songs that the Kingdom Heirs are so good at singing. The song also encourages us to turn loose our yesterdays and past mistakes. "As Good As I Could Be" is a neat song that talks about as kids we were trying to be as good as we could be and the song then reminds us that it takes the Lord to make us as good as we can be. "Steppin' On The Stars" is an awesome song about that happy morning we cross over to Glory.
"When The Story Of My Life Is Told" is the next song and wonders aloud if Christ will say "well done" when the story of our life is told. The next song reminds us that Christ is always right on time when we need Him. The song is titled "Jesus Showed Up" and it also has a catchy tune. You do not see many songs that are six minutes and thirty seconds long on a Southern Gospel recording but "When You Look At Me" is one of those songs. The song is a very powerful one and the beautiful melody and lyric will be a blessing to you. "The Empty Tomb Says It All" is the final song on the project and you can never go wrong with a song about the resurrection of Christ!
The Kingdom Heirs are one of the class groups of Southern Gospel Music. I have been a huge fan of this group several years now and somehow they just seem to get better and better. My favorite songs from this project are "On The Gloryland Way," "Help Me Lord" and "Fire Away." The entire project has twelve great songs and is a must have for all male quartet lovers!
