I have been
a big fan of the Collingsworth Family
for a couple of years now. Last
year I had an opportunity to interview them
for a spotlight on Tunes4Him.com and I
was very impressed with the entire
family, not only their talent but their
love of Christ and spreading the Gospel
message!
"The Blood
Of Jesus" was written by Kim
Collingsworth and it reminds us of the
importance and the power of the Blood of
Christ! "We Still Believe" is a
Ronnie Hinson song and this upbeat song
proclaims the message that we still
believe that we are just about to leave
this old world! "When God
Whispers" is a beautiful ladies trio
from Kim, Brooklyn and Courtney.
The song is beautifully done and is a
great blessing. The talent of this
family goes far beyond their voices.
They are incredible instrumentalists as
well and Phil does a great Trumpet
Medley next. "He Already Sees" is
a song with a message of hope as it
reminds us that even when we can't, God
sees the rainbow at the end of our
storm.
"Not The
Same" features the entire family on
vocals and what a song! The fast
paced song reminds us that we are not
the same once the Savior touches us!
"I Can Trust Jesus" is a song written by
Gerald Crabb. You don't need me to
tell you that Gerald writes great songs
but I believe this is one of his best.
I love the way he put the song together
and the way the Collingsworth Family
sings it. "What Noah Knew" is a
different style song but I loved it!
The song is a catchy tune. One of
my favorite hymns is "It Is Well With My
Soul" so I naturally was thrilled to see
that Kim put it on this project as a
piano solo!
I live in
Pennsylvania right in the middle of
Courier's country and Neil Enloe wrote a
song several years ago that the
Collingsworth Family brought back!
"More Than Just A Swear Word" is the
song what a thrill to hear it sung again
and sung by the Collingsworth's
Children! A great testimony from
some very nice young people! "In
Awe" is exactly what we are when we
thing of God's Glory and Grace! "God Can
Do Anything" features the family
ensemble again and what more do you need
to say, God can do anything! The
youngest Collingsworth is Olivia and
she's as talented as the rest! She
sings "My Favorite Things." The
final song on the project is a power
ballad titled "Blessed Be The Lamb."
I have
already said that I am an official
member of the Collingsworth Family fan
club! The group is the most
talented group traveling today.
Their vocal abilities are awesome and
add to that their instrumental abilities
and you have a winning combination.
The 14 songs on this project are all
performed very well and the production
is great. My favorite songs on the
project are "God Can Do Anything," "More
Than Just A Swear Word" and "God
Whispers." I love the entire
project and it's going to be a long time
before it comes out of my CD player!
