We have had previous projects from Deena Ashley so we knew she could sing and was a good songwriter.  This project is another great example of the talent that is Deena Ashley.  Her vocal abilities and songwriting skills shine through on this project.

"I'm Free" is the first song on the project and this catchy melody is a great start to the project.  "Nothing Without You" is a slower melody that has a great message reminding us that we are nothing without God in our lives.  "Fall Into The Water" is an up tempo song that will quickly become a favorite.  "Who I Am In Christ" was a title that I noticed right away and this song reminds us that no matter our circumstances that we are something special in Christ!  One of the songs that Deena didn't write on the project is the great "How Great Thou Art."  Deena does an outstanding job on this great song.

"He's Alive" is a song about the resurrection of Christ and I love songs that celebrate that.  This one is a good one.  "In Love With The King" is another slow melody that will bless the listener.  Another great song included on this project that Deena didn't write is "He Touched Me."  I love that song as it reminds us of the power of God's touch on our life!  "I Won't Be Quiet" is a song that reminds me of the old Couriers song "Go Ahead And Shout" as it reminds us that it's okay to Praise the Lord and we don't need to sit there quietly. 

"Pray This Way" reminds us of the correct way to pray and to always seek God's Will for our life.  "I Am Grateful" reminds us to always be grateful for everything God has done for us.  "God Says He Can't" reminds us of the handful of things that God can't do!  "He Met My Need" is an upbeat song that does a fine job of reminding us that God will meet each and every need we have. 

"Broken Like This" is a song of encouragement that anyone going through a trial will enjoy.  It's a great song of hope.  "Devine Purpose" is another outstanding Deena wrote and it reminds us that there is a Devine Purpose for every heart who searches Christ.  "If You Can't See Me" is another beautiful, slow melody that has a heartfelt message.  It's a great song reminding us that when people look at us they should Christ and not us!  One of my all time favorite songs is "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" and Deena sings this song next.  I love her version of the song and it brought back many great memories.  The title song of the project is the final song.  "Break The Chains" is a wonderful prayer to God asking Him to forgive us and break the chains of our past that bound us.

I love this project from Deena Ashley.  There are 18 songs on the project and Deena wrote 15 of them.  She has proven to be a prolific songwriter and the vocal performances are outstanding as well.  My favorite songs from the project are "His Eye Is On The Sparrow," "He Met My Need" and "I Am Grateful."  The entire project is very good and I highly recommend it if you enjoy good, solid singing and heartfelt songs.
