I am always
looking for a good instrumental project!
I respect how hard instrumentalists work
at their craft and I love to listen to a
good instrumental project. I was
intrigued by the "Elevator Music" title
of this project. The project is
simply a good instrumental project that
is very easy listening.
The project
starts off with a classic song titled
"Crying In The Chapel." It also
features Boots Randolph on the
saxophone. Boots is a legendary
performer and joins Ernie Couch &
Revival on two other songs on the
project as well. The project
continues with "If He Came Once Again,"
"Swing Low Sweet Chariot" and
Londonderry Air."
"How Firm A
Foundation" has always been a favorite
hymn of mine and I enjoyed the
instrumental version these guys put on
it. The next song is another
featuring Boots Randolph and You will
enjoy "Dreamin'." "Depart I Never
Know You" is the next song on the
project.
The next
song is another old hymn that I love.
You will enjoy "When The Roll Is Called
Up Yonder!" "O Store Gud" is next
and is followed by the final Boots
Randolph song with "I'm Forgiven."
It also features a few "doo-waps" from
the guys! "The Pilgrim Way" and
"Last Dance" finish out this outstanding
project!
As
instrumental projects go, this one is
probably a lot different than most
Southern Gospel ones go. The
project, however, is outstanding!
The production is very good and the
instrumental performances are great.
I love each of the songs but my
favorites are "Crying In The Chapel,"
"How Firm A Foundation" and "I'm
Forgiven." The entire project is
simply outstanding and if you love
instrumental music, you must get a copy
for yourself! For more information
