Encounter is a mixed trio that we had never heard of here at the Southern Gospel Music Forum before this project arrived.  The group has some great vocal abilities and I doubt that this will be the only time we hear of them.  Their latest project has eight songs on it that you will enjoy.

"Make Me An Instrument" is a prayer to God to make us an instrument of praise.  "The Healer" is a familiar song from the Talley Trio and Encounter does a very fine job on the great song.  "What God's Gonna Do" is another familiar song in Southern Gospel Music.  Encounter has some great harmonies on this song.  They are back with another Talley Trio song as they sing the medley of "I Love The Lord" and "Total Praise."  Again, a very good effort on these songs.

The next track on the project is a medley of some great, old songs.  You will really enjoy the "Medley Of Trust" as Encounter sings it.  "Lord's Prayer/Pray" is the next song on the project and again the harmonies are incredible!  "Jerusalem" was a big song for the Hoppers a couple of years back but Encounter's version of this song is right up there with the Hoppers!  What a great performance.  The final cut on the project is an awesome version of "The National Anthem." 

This project is one of the best we have received in the past several months.  The harmonies from this group are exceptional and the production is good.  I would love to hear a full 10 song or more project and perhaps a few more original songs but this project is fantastic and I highly recommend it.  My favorite songs were "Jerusalem," "Make Me An Instrument" and "Medley Of Trust."  I wish all of the projects that we received from group's we don't know were this good!  For more information, visit www.encounterthewebsite.com.
