The music of Karen Peck and New River has evolved over the years and the latest project from Karen Peck and New River is the latest chapter in that evolution.  This project on the Daywind label is very enjoyable and will please Karen Peck and New River fans everywhere.

"Hey" is a simple song title but it asks a very important question.  "Last Night" is the debut single from this group and it's a very good one.  I think we will see it hit Number One very soon.  "Journey Of Joy" reminds the listener that a journey with Christ is a journey of joy.  "Round The Kitchen Table" is the next song and I am sure that many people will enjoy it.

"Then He Moved" is the next song and Devon takes the lead and does an awesome job on this great song.  The next song is a fast mover and "When The Stone Rolled Away" gives us a little insight as to what it might have been like when Christ rose again!  "Whispered Prayer" slows down the tempo quite a lot and reminds us that God hears all prayers!

"Faith" is an exciting song about the comfort you can have if you have faith in God!  "Behind The Lines Of Grace" is a song about one of my favorite subjects, God's Grace.  The song is a wonderful song that is a must hear for everyone.  "Hold On" kicks things up a notch as this high energy songs reminds us to hold on to God.  The final song on the project is "Where The Dirt Road Stops."

Karen Peck and New River is well established in Southern Gospel Music and this project is a very good one.  The vocals, song selection and the production is all top notch.  My favorite songs on the project are "Then He Moved," "Hey" and "Faith."  The entire project is full of very strong songs and a blessing awaits for anyone who hears it.  For more information visit the group's website at www.karenpeckandnewriver.com.
