Soloists in
Southern Gospel Music have a tough road
sometimes and it seems that they have a
hard time setting themselves a part from
the crowd. Kristen Roller is
giving it her effort on her "Beautiful
Day" project. She certainly has a
great voice and the project is very well
done.
The title
cut is first and "Beautiful Day" has a
great message about any day being a
beautiful day to praise the Lord!
"He Will Carry You" has a beautiful
message and I know that you will enjoy
it. "Leaning On The Everlasting
Arms" is the name of a popular hymn.
This is that song but probably not the
version you are used to. It is a
very good effort from Kristen though!
"Refreshing
Rain" is the second song on the project
written by Kristen. You will enjoy
the song and the message in it.
"Sing" is a simple title and this Geron
Davis is a great song. "Movin' On"
is another song written by Kristen and
it's an up tempo song that will appeal
to many people. "Potter's Hand" is
a simply melody but what a beautiful
song! The message is strong as
well as it reminds us how God
consistently moulds us and shapes our
life.
"The
Gospel" is a Jeff Steele and Marty
Funderburke song that is a good song
that will be enjoyed by all. "I
Thank You Lord" is a great, old song
that I remember hearing when I was a
child. I have not heard it in a
long time but Kristen's version is
great! The final song on the
project is "You Amaze Me" and it reminds
us how much God's handiwork amazes us!
Kristen
Roller is a talented individual.
She shows her vocal abilities and her
songwriting skills on this project and
she showcases both of them well.
The production on the project is good.
My favorite songs from the project are
"Beautiful Day," "I Thank You Lord" and
"Potter's Hand." Kristen has a
good project here that should do very
well for her. For more information
