Southern Gospel Music has a very distinct sound and style.  Often times when a group steps out of that style, they are heavily criticized.  However, I enjoy seeing a Southern Gospel Group take a chance once in a while and the LeFevre Quartet took a big one with this project.  The LeFevre Quartet recorded ten popular CCM and Praise and Worship songs.  I enjoy that style of music and I love this project!

"Here I Am To Worship" is a popular song used in church services all over the country.  "Total Praise" is next and this Richard Smallwood song has become a praise anthem all over the country.  "Friend Of God" is another of the popular P&W songs that the LeFevre Quartet chose to record.

"Agnus De/Worthy" is a Michael W. Smith song that the LeFevre Quartet sings perfectly.  "Come Now Is The Time To Worship" is another of those songs you are likely to hear in church services.  I know it seems like my church sings it every week!  "I Bless Your Name" is another great worship song.  "You Are God Alone" is another song that the LeFevre Quartet sings very well.

"Lord I Believe In You," "How Great Our God" and "You Are Good" round out this project with three more P&W standards.  The LeFevre Quartet continues to do an outstanding job on these songs.

The LeFevre Quartet seems very comfortable going outside of the Southern Gospel style.  The guys do an outstanding job on all of these songs and, if the Southern Gospel Fans will give this project a chance, they will enjoy it and be blessed by it!  My favorites from this project are "Here I Am To Worship," "We Worship You" and "Total Praise."  This project is way outside of the traditional Southern Gospel project but I believe it still has a place in our industry and I for one enjoyed it a great deal!
