There are certain groups that you can always count on turning out a terrific project.  The Mark Trammell Trio is one of those great groups and their projects just keep on getting better and better.  Their latest effort from Daywind Record is simply awesome!

The upbeat "Even Thomas Couldn't Doubt It" starts off the project in a rousing way.  The high energy song will having you singing along right away.  "Won't It Be Wonderful There" is is written by former Greater Vision member Chris Allman and it reminds us how wonderful Heaven will be.  "Moving The Hand Of God" is a unique title for a song but Kyla Rowland write a great one that speaks of the power of prayer.  I love the song and especially the message of it.

The title song of the project is "Once Upon A Cross" and this song has a beautiful and powerful message that will speak to you a you realize once again what Christ did for us on Calvary!  "However I Go" picks up that tempo once again and this song is traditional Southern Gospel Music at its very best!  "I Still Believe" is another song from Chris Allman's pen and the message is a good one as it reminds us that we still believe Christ is coming again!  Diane Wilkerson has been a great songwriter for a long time and she wrote the next song.  "Let Me Bring Your Children Home" will simply bless you with the message of hope!

"Weary At The Well" picks up that pace once again and the Mark Trammell Trio seems to have a knack for really shining on these types of songs.  "You Can't Hold Back The Flood" is a song written by Rodney Griffin and it's a very good!  It reminds us that we cannot hold back anything that God is doing!  The final song on the project was written in 1993 but I do not ever remember hearing it.  The song is titled "Heaven Can't Be Far Away" and it was written by group member Steve Hurst.  The song is a perfect ending to this great project.

I listen to a lot of music and I would project project amongst the best I have heard in the past year or so.  The song selection is awesome and the production is top notch all the way.  Mark, Eric, Dustin and Steve all perform their parts to near perfection and the entire finished product is absolutely awesome!  My favorite songs were very difficult to chose.  I finally settled on "Even Thomas Couldn't Doubt It," "Let Me Bring Your Children Home" and "Moving The Hand Of God."  The entire project is truly great and I highly recommend the latest release from this incredibly talented group.  For more information on the Mark Trammell Trio, visit their website at www.marktrammellministries.com.
