Traditional
male quartet singing and Christmas songs
seem to always go together and the
Melody Boys Quartet Christmas project is
a great combination of the two!
"God's Christmas" seems destined to
become a Christmas favorite for years to
come!
This
project has several familiar songs like
"Beautiful Star Of Bethlehem!"
This song is a favorite of mine and I
enjoy their version. "Winter
Wonderland" is another enjoyable
seasonable song, especially for those of
us who live in a real, live winter
wonderland! "Thou Didst Leave Thy
Throne" is a song you don't hear much
these days but the song is a good one
and the guys do a great job with it.
I must
admit I don't know the next song titled
"Dawn Of Redeeming Grace." It is a
well written song and the performance
from the Melody Boys Quartet is
outstanding. A medley of "Joy
Unspeakable" and "Joy To The World" is
next and is followed by a Gaither song
titled "Hope For The Ages." The
true classic, "White Christmas" is next
and their version of this song is very
enjoyable!
"The
Birthday Of A King" is another of those
old Christmas Carols you don't hear much
anymore. I do enjoy the song and
an added bonus of a third verse
co-written by group member Gerald
Williams and Judy Cox Keisler.
"God's Christmas" is the title song and
I admit I was curious about it. It
is a very strong song and I love the
message of it. The project wraps
up with the ever popular "O Holy Night."
That song is still all time favorite
Christmas song I love to hear it sung
well. The Melody Boys Quartet sang
it beautifully!
"God's
Christmas" is a great effort from the
Melody Boys Quartet. The group has
been turning out quality music for a
long time and this project will be
another in a long line. The
project is well thought out with song
selection, the production is great and
even the artwork on the front is festive
and will help put you in the Christmas
Spirit! My favorite songs from the
project are "O Holy Night," "Winter
Wonderland" and "God's Christmas."
It's another good one from the Melody
Boys Quartet! For more information
