Quick ...
what group is one of the most talented
and fastest rising groups in Southern
Gospel Music? Why, it's the Quicks
of course! What a great sound and
this is one talented family. The
latest project from the Quicks is a
great listen that you will enjoy time
and time again.
"Right Here
Right Now" was written by Sally Quick
and this up tempo song starts the
project off right! It is a great
song and the Quicks sing it perfectly.
"At The End Of The Day" is a song that
reminds us of God's faithfulness to us
throughout each day. The next song
is titled "He Went A Little Farther" and
it's a unique song but the message is
awesome how the Lord went all the way to
Grace! I love it! "An
Ordinary Day" is one of those songs that
just grabs you right from the beginning.
The songs speaks of how each day, no
matter how ordinary, is the day that the
Lord has made.
I always
love to see a group go back and get an
older song. The Quicks did that
with a great arrangement of the Gaither
classic, "If It Keeps Getting Better."
This is also one of two songs on the
project that Sally didn't have a hand in
writing. "Testimony In Progress"
is a cool melody that also does a fine
job of reminding us that each Christian
is a testimony for God in progress.
"I Wouldn't Change Knowing The Lord" is
the next song and it basically says that
we wouldn't change a single thing since
the Lord saved me! Amen to that!
"Rolling
Along" kicks up the tempo a notch and
this is good, old fashioned southern
Gospel singing the way it was intended!
Of course, JD Sumner wrote the song with
that in mind! The Quicks do a
phenomenal job singing it. "Time
With The King" reminds us of that great
day when we will be forever with God in
Heaven. "Either Way It Goes" is a
beautiful ballad that reminds us that no
matter what God decides for us, we are a
winner either way. The final song
on the project is one of three
co-written by Daryl Williams and Sally
Quick. The up beat song is a great
ending to the project and "The Word Is
Out" reminds us of the great saving
message of Christ.
The Quicks
truly are an awesome group. This
project should yield them a bunch of new
fans and will only do great things for
their ministry. Sally Quick is an
outstanding songwriter as she proves on
this project. The vocal
performance and production is also very
good. My favorite songs on the
project are "Right Here Right Now," "If
It Keeps Getting Better" and "I Wouldn't
Change Knowing The Lord." The
entire project is first class and after
listening to it you too will agree, "The
Word It Out" that the Quicks are a great
group! For more information visit
