The first thing I noticed about Russ Taff's new project was that it took five producers to get it done!  That must have been a crowded studio!  Just kidding, regardless of the number of producers, this is an excellent project and I really enjoy it. 

First of all, let me say that I have been a Russ Taff fan since first hearing him a lot of years ago with the Imperials.  His new project hits a great note right out of the gate with "Somebody's Coming," an upbeat an positive message song that Russ sings to perfection.  The great Albert Brumley song is next as Russ puts his stamp on "The Sweetest Song I Know."  "I'm Glad" is another great song with an upbeat message about how God made everything.  "More Than Ever" is a song written by Bill and Gloria Gaither long with Woody Wright.  It's a terrific song with an equally terrific message.

"Just Believe" picks up the tempo again and is song that Russ wrote.  It reminds us that all we need to do is believe in God!  "The Really Big News" is a cut from a recent Gaither Vocal Band project.  Russ, of course, spent some time with that group and this song is a good one from that era!  "Jesus Is The Best Thing" is a song that is perfect for the Russ Taff style.  This great song from the 1970's reminds us that, as Christians, Jesus is the greatest and best thing to ever happen to any of us.

A true classic is next as Russ sings the Gaither classic, "Thanks To Calvary."  Another song from the 1970's is next as Russ sings "Until I Found The Lord."  That great song was written by Mosie Lister and reminds us that true contentment is found in the Lord.  "Jesus Loves Me" is next and this is another familiar song reminding us of God's Love for us.  "I Believe In A Hill Called Mount Calvary" is next and Russ does a phenomenal job on this great Gaither song.

One of my favorites from the project is next with "Heartbreak Ridge And New Hope Road."  Larry Gatlin wrote this high energy song and Russ sings it better than I have ever heard!  "At The Altar" is a beautiful, old song and I really enjoyed this version by Russ.  "Hurt By Hurt" is the final song on the project and is a great ending to a super project.

I already said that Russ Taff is a favorite singer of mine.  This project is absolutely wonderful and will be enjoyed by anyone who hears it.  The songs are all outstanding songs are sung to near perfection by Russ.  The production and orchestration is top notch as well.  My favorite songs were "Heartbreak Ridge And New Hope Road," "The Sweetest Song I Know" and "Jesus Is The Best Thing."  The entire project is top notch and I highly recommend getting a copy for your own personal collection of music.  For more information, visit www.russtaff.com.
