I always love a good project full of great, old hymns and that is what we have here by Shirley Jean Johnson.  The project has ten songs, including eight great hymns and one song from Shirley's pen.  It also includes her testimony.

"Rock Of Ages" is the title cut and the first song.  He is our Rock of Ages and I love that old song.  "Closer Walk With Thee" is the next great hymn on this project and I love that old song too!  "Sweet Hour Of Prayer" is the next song and I have not heard this song again.  It was great to hear someone singing this song again.

"Farther Along" is one of my favorite songs and the message is just incredible when you think that someday, we will understand it all!  "I Surrender All" is a great commitment to Christ.  I love the words of that song.  "Precious Memories" is a song my mom used to sing when I was very young.  I have not heard it in years.  "Amazing Grace" is the greatest song of all and God's Grace is still amazing!

"Whispering Hope" is a beautiful song that has not been heard in years.  The next track is Shirley's great testimony which I know will bless you.  The final song was written by Shirley and William Moore and "The Angels Cried" is a very good song.

"Rock Of Ages" is a good project from Shirley.  You will enjoy hearing all of those great hymns again and I am sure you will enjoy the personal testimony from Shirley and the song she helped write.  My favorite songs from the project are "Sweet Hour Of Prayer," "I Surrender All" and "Amazing Grace."  For more information visit www.sjjgospel.com.
