YOUNG HARMONY ~
FAITH, HOPE, JOY
LAMON
RECORDS ~ PRODUCED BY: DAVE MOODY & PHILLIP HARE
Now, before
you think you are seeing double let me explain. Scott
reviewed this project last month on the website however,
this is my review. Let me preface it by saying that these
past few days have been some of the worst in my life! It
was this project that gave me some great comfort during some
very trying times.
I was
leaving the hospital on Long Island yesterday and heading
for my home in Philadelphia. Both of my parents are in the
hospital following a car accident and their situation is not
that good. When I got in the car, I saw this CD laying on
my seat. Scott and I had been playing it the last time we
were together.
"Good
Morning Lord" was the first song and it really hit home when
it talked of how He got me through another day. It has
truly been the Lord that got me through these past few
days. "All He's Done For Me" was a great reminder of what
God has done for me. Sometimes, when we have trials, we
forget everything He's done for us and exactly what He is
capable of! That was a serious source of comfort. I'm
convinced that "Little Bit Of Faith" was written just for me
in this situation! I spoke with my brother and sister just
before I left and we talked of the faith we had and needed.
What a great song to encourage you during a time of need.
"Little Things" really brought home the "Little Things" that
God sent my over of the past few days to encourage me.
Sometimes it was a phone call or a note from someone.
Sometimes it was only a smile from someone I didn't even
know.
"But Then"
was a great reminder of what we were before we came to Jesus
and what we would be without Him. "All That I Need" was
another great reminder of what we need in life. I spent the
past few days listening to doctors tell me that we needed to
do this or that but really when it comes right down to it,
all that we need is Jesus. This song talks about our daily
lives and all we need is Jesus but that is also true at the
darkest moments of our life. Another song that was written
just for me was "Just Gonna Have Faith." The chorus and the
testimony is powerful stuff and I think I played this three
times before going to the next song. What a great testament
of faith and it encouraged me greatly to have faith in my
situation. "Power In His Name" was another great reminder
that no matter how bleak a situation looks, it's never to
big for the power of God!
"I Know He
Will" was preaching a sermon to me right there in the car!
I remember watching people I am close to go through
tremendous trials and God always does make the trial a
blessing. There is no reason to doubt that God will make
our trial a blessing as well! "Lifting Up The Name" was a
beautiful song that just seemed to bring me a comfort that I
really could not explain. "Address Change" nearly caused an
accident! As my emotions took over for a moment, I recalled
so many times that my Mom said that her home on earth was a
temporary address! The final song is the old Gospel
standard "Everybody Will Be Happy Over There" and this song
brought back many, many great memories from my childhood
days.
I have got
to say that during that entire trip from Long Island to
Philadelphia this was the only CD I played. I laughed a
little and cried a lot but when I finally arrived in
Philadelphia, I had a peace that could never be explained by
this world. When I think back it's amazing how God works
these things out. Scott forgot it and left it in my car so
it was there. I'm sure when Young Harmony recorded this
project, they had no idea how it would be used this day but
I am grateful they recorded it and I am thankful for their
ministry.
I do not
know Johnathan and Ginger personally but Scott does and has
told me of their friendliness and their desire to help
people. Well, they helped this person get through one of
the roughest spots in her life and while this situation in
my life is far from over, Young Harmony had given me twelve
great songs to bless me no matter what comes my way.
Thanks!

Note: This original review
was written a couple of months ago and I am happy to report
that both of my parents survived this accident. My dad
is going back to work on January 31, 2005 and although he is
still walking with a limp, he is expected to make a full
recovery. My mom finally came home from the hospital
around Christmas time. She needs to go back in for
surgery next week and then faces several months of
out-patient therapy. The doctor's do expect her to
make a full recovery as well. God is good!
