Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Artist: Talleys
Project Title: Love Won
Label: Crossroads
Producer: Roger Talley

I have reviewed several projects over the years recorded by the Talleys.  Some of them were the original Talleys, others the Talley Trio and even some solo projects from some of the various members of the group.  However, this is the first review I have ever done of a Talleys project that includes Brian Alvey, Lauren Talley’s husband and the newest member of the Talley family.  Of course, Brian is no stranger to Southern Gospel Music having sung with the Tribute Quartet and having written several songs, including some on this brand new project.

The Talleys sound has always had a progressive Southern Gospel Music sound and that has not changed.  The Talleys have also always been known for their incredible and sometimes complex harmonies.  The harmony of the group shines right away with “We Want To Thank You.”  What a beautiful song thanking God for His mercy and grace in our lives.  “Love Won” is the title of the project as well as the next song and this has a unique sound and feel but I certainly enjoyed the song.  The message is excellent as well too as it reminds us of that day when love won when Christ died and rose again!  Next on the project is a song titled “Make Way For The Master.”  This is a great reminded of how God can touch a life when He passes by and you reach out to Him.  “Broken World” was one of those songs I was pretty sure I was going to like.  I love this song and the message of how we won’t have to live in this broken world for much longer because this broken world is cradled by a Savior.

“Every Scar” is another beautiful song that tells a story of the stories of the scars of our lives.  I love the way the writer of the song ties in the story of Jesus’ scars.  An up-tempo song titled “Talk To The Lord About It” is next.  It is a wonderful song reminding us that we should be taking all of our burdens to the Lord. “Up Above” slows it down once again and the song reminds us that once we reach Heaven we will understand everything and see how God led each one of our paths.  I don’t believe I have ever seen a Talley’s project that didn’t record one of the great, old songs from the history of Southern Gospel music.  “Surely” is one of those songs and the Talleys deliver an exceptional performance on this great song.  Songs about God’s Love are often a favorite of mine and I have heard many songs on that subject.  However, I cannot recall ever hearing a song quite like this next one.  The title is “Great Love He Gave” and the message clearly exemplifies just how great God’s love is for His children.

“The Church Will Overcome” will have the place rockin’!  I enjoyed this song that reminds us that church has already won and will always overcome.  Another song about God’s love is next and “How Deep The Father’s Love For Us” is an outstanding song portraying just a glimpse of how deep God’s love runs for His children.  “That’s Why I Love Him So” might be the best song on the project.  This is a powerful song with an amazing message and performance.  It talks of God’s faithfulness during our trials and is one of the greatest songs of encouragement that I have heard in a while.  The final song on the project is titled “Love Covers All.”  This is another outstanding song and a great ending to the project.

The Talleys have been a favorite group of mine since the original group was formed.  I enjoyed the group when Roger and Debra came back with Lauren and now, with the additional of Brian, the group seems to be only getting better.  This project will quickly become a favorite of the Talleys fans and will likely get them a few new fans.  This is a high quality recording from every aspect. From the production to the orchestration to the song selection and the vocal performances, this project will please and bless the listener time after time.  My favorite songs from the project are “Talk To The Lord About It,” “That’s Why I Love Him So” and “Great Love He Gave.”  What are you waiting for?  Go get a copy of this project today!  You will not be disappointed but you will be blessed over and over again.  For more information on the Talleys, visit their website at www.talleytrio.com.
