I have stated many times before that one of my favorite things about being the owner and editor of this website and writing project reviews is meeting new and talented people!  Well, I recently “met” a group on Facebook that is incredibly talented!  The name of the group is Joyful Noise and their debut project has just come out and oh my, what a project!

The project starts off with “Count Your Blessings.”  Of course, this was a huge song for the Martins, and Joyful Noise sings the song in that same style.  They do a very good job singing this song and it is a great start to their project.  “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power” is a classic song in the history of Southern Gospel Music and Joyful Noise does an exceptional job on this beautiful song about the power and the reach of the Blood of Jesus Christ.  The next song on this project is a song that I just became aware of a little over a year ago even though the song has been around a little while.  The song is “Wonderful Merciful Savior” and this version of this song is simply outstanding!  I really enjoyed this song and it quickly became a favorite.  The tempo picks up a little with “Everything’s Gonna Turn Out Right.”  What a great message in a song reminding us that no matter what we are going through, with Christ, everything is going to turn out right!

Next up on this project is “A Cappella Medley.”  It is a great a cappella arrangement of some older Southern Gospel songs that I know you will enjoy.  “You Deliver Me” is a wonderfully crafted song and it is delivered beautifully by Joyful Noise.  The song has a great message of how God is always there to deliver us when it seems we cannot go on.  The next song is “Press On” and it is another superb song about pressing on with God.  If we press on in Jesus’ Name, we will eventually find the strength to press on towards that prize.  The next song on this project is a true Southern Gospel Classic.  The song is “The Lighthouse.”  Of course, the song was written by Ronnie Hinson and Joyful Noise has a wonderful version of the classic song on this project.

I absolutely love it when groups and artists sing the old hymns of the church that I grew up listening to and singing!  Joyful Noise sings “I Surrender All” next and I have always loved that hymn.  They do a great job singing it and what a great reminder in the words of that hymn that we need to surrender all of our lives to Christ.  Another song that was originally recorded by the Martins is next and you will absolutely love Joyful Noise’s version of “So High.”  I am not sure that I have heard many groups record “Jesus Loves Me” however Joyful Noise did record it and it is a wonderful version of the great song that many of us grew up singing in Sunday School and church.  I loved hearing this great song sung in perfect harmony!  The final song on the project is a well-known CCM song titled “Shout To The Lord.”  Joyful Noise has an exception version of this wonderful praise and worship song.

As I said in my opening paragraph, I love to meet and write reviews on new and talented artists and projects!  Well, I found a great new artist in Joyful Noise.  This mixed trio has twelve songs on this project that are all excellent.  Their harmony and blend is really exceptional for a debut recording and I know that you will enjoy this recording and this group.  The song selection is very good and offers a nice mix of various styles and variety.  My favorite songs from this project are “Wonderful Merciful Savior,” “You Deliver Me” and “Count Your Blessings.”  Be watching for this group!  They have a great sound, a good project, talented vocalists and wonderful harmony which sound like a recipe for success to me!  For more information on Joyful Noise, visit their Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/joyful.noise.944.
