The latest project from Johnathan Bond is titled “Testimonies Volume 3.”  It is another terrific collection of testimonies and songs from Johnathan and Young Harmony.  This project, like the previous ones, will bless the listener time and time again with its encouraging message!

This project begins with a testimony titled “Last Minute.”  I enjoyed this testimony about the leading of God to use a specific song to minister to a young lady.  It also goes to remind us that often the people we meet are hurting in ways that we could never imagine.  This testimony leads into the well-known song “Something About That Name.”  What a great song reminding us of the power of Jesus.

The next testimony on the project is “Not Just On The Sparrow.”  This is a bit of a humorous testimony of Johnathan following the leading of the Lord.  The testimony also has a very poignant message to it and it really is a beautiful story of God using someone in the simplest of ways with a simple hug!  “Come To Jesus” is the next song on the project and I have always loved this song and the line that says “if you will take the first step of faith, He’ll carry you the rest of the way!”  Great words and a great song!

The next testimony on the project is “The Journey Home.”  I love the way that Johnathan allows himself to be used of God at all times and this testimony might show that more than any other.  It is a story of a man’s journey to God.  It is an amazing story of reconciliation and hope!  The song that follows on the project is another familiar song in Southern Gospel Music and I really enjoyed this version of “How Long Has It Been.” 

This next testimony is my favorite one of all of them from the two latest CD’s.  I love the story of how God used a song that Johnathan wrote to later minister to Johnathan in his time of need.  The title of the testimony is “When Jesus Prays” and that is also the name of the song that followed.  This song spoke to me in an amazing way the first time I heard it and I still absolutely love it!  I love the chorus that says “Satan has desired to sift you as wheat but Jesus is praying that your faith will not get weak.  No matter how hard the wind blows or how high the waves.  Satan does not stand a chance, when Jesus prays.”

The final testimony on the project is “Downtown With Jesus.”  I also love this testimony as I can relate to it very well.  It is another amazing encounter between Johnathan and someone who he helped along the way and a great reminder to get our focus off from us and on to God.  The final song on the project is “But Then.”  Oh my, what an amazing message in a song!  The song reminds us what a change God can make in our lives.

I mentioned in a previous review that I have known Johnathan for a few years and I have seen him on and off stage.  I love these testimony projects because they do a wonderful job of telling us how God can work in our lives and will work in our lives if we just allow Him to.  My favorite songs from this project are “When Jesus Prays,” “Come To Jesus” and “How Long Has It Been.”  These projects from Johnathan are works that will encourage you and bless you as you first hear the power of God through Johnathan’s testimony and then hear the wonderful message of Christ through song.  For more information on Johnathan, visit www.youngharmony.com.
