If there is one thing that I love more than finding a brand new, talented artist, it is finding one in my own back yard!  I recently had a meeting with some concert promoters and they introduced me to a very talented group from Rochester, NY!  Now, there are many Southern Gospel Artists in New York State but Final Harvest is one of those artists and they are fantastic!  The latest project from Final Harvest is “Never Alone” and it is a very good project that you will be enjoying for many years to come.

The project begins with a beautiful slow and melodic song titled “In The Presence Of Jehovah.”  This song was written back in the mid-1980’s and what a beautiful song and reminder how God can and will speak to us when we are in His presence!  Next on the project is a great, old song titled “He Whispers Sweet Peace.”  I always love to hear songs that remind of the sweet peace that Jesus gives us.  “He Still Speaks” is the next amazing song on this project.  This beautiful song reminds us that God speaks to us no matter what we are going through in life.

The next song on this project is a great a cappella arrangement of the old hymn, “The Love Of God.”  This has been a favorite hymn of mine for a long, long time and I love the version that Final Harvest has on this project!  “I Will Never Leave You Alone” is the next song on this project and what an amazing message in this great song written by Janet Paschal.  The song reminds us that no matter the road we are in life, Jesus will never leave us alone in our struggles!  Whew!  What a message and what a song!  The next song on the project is “She Loved.”  This is a song that was made popular by the Easters but this version by Final Harvest is every bit as good as the original!  A Phil Johnson and Lanny Wolfe collaboration is next and the ladies in Final Harvest sing “You’re Still Lord.”  This is another great song of encouragement reminding us that God never changes and He is still the same Lord He has always been!

“Stronger For It” is the next song on the project and this song is a wonderful reminder of the strength that God gives to each of His Children!  One of my favorite songs to ever come out in Southern Gospel Music is “There Is A River.”  What an amazing song and Final Harvest does an amazing job singing this classic song.  The final song on this project is another old song.  The song it titled “Fear Not Tomorrow” and this song features amazing harmony from Final Harvest!

Even though I am just hearing about Final Harvest, they have been singing for a little while.  This project is an outstanding effort from these ladies and it is one that should make people sit up and take notice.  As I said, New York State does not really have an abundance of Southern Gospel Artists but I am proud to say that we have some talented ones!  Final Harvest is one of them and this project proves that!  My favorite songs from this project are “I Will Never Leave You Alone,” “The Love Of God” and “Stronger For It.”  All in all it is a project with ten amazing songs that are all sung in perfect harmony!  If you have not heard of Final Harvest, you should get a copy of this project!  If you like good Southern Gospel music and great harmony, this project is exactly what you are looking for!  For more information on Final Harvest, visit their website at www.finalharvest.us.
