Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

There are many groups in Southern Gospel Music with a long history of success.  One of my favorite groups over the past several years is the Freemans.  The Freemans have had many successful songs over the years and have recorded numerous exceptional projects over the years as well.  For those reasons, I am always very excited to see a project from the Freemans in my mailbox for review!  Their latest project is titled “Voice In The Desert” and this is a very good and very special project from the Freemans.

The title song, “Voice In The Desert” is the first song on the project and I love this upbeat song that challenges us as believers to be that voice in the desert for the unbelievers in our life!  What a tremendous challenge and what an important one as we are surely living in the last days.  I love this song and this message!  “That Kind Of Love” slows down the tempo quite a bit.  The song tells a wonderful story and has perhaps one of the most touching messages in the chorus I have ever heard.  It asks, if Jesus knows me, how can He love and save me.  I have asked that question and I am sure you have too and the answer in that Jesus has that kind of love and we will never be able to understand it!  The next song on the project is titled “Ole Trespasser” and what a great message that in Christ we are a new creature and we have no place for the devil!

“The Last Time I Looked” is another beautiful melody celebrating the sacrifice that Christ made for us and when He made that sacrifice, it was for all time!  The tomb is still empty and the plan of salvation is still free for all!  The next song on the project is “Where I’ve Been” and I am sure many people will be able to relate to this song.  It talks about being in a place of pain and heartache and finding your way back from where you have been.  It is a tremendous message about the change that God can make in a person!  “Water Grave” is another upbeat song and oh my, what a great song!  It reminds us that the old man is dead and how we can bury the man we use to be in a watery grave!  The next song has a unique title in “Unwanted Crown.”  I love the message of this song as it talks of the struggles that a Christian can face in their walk with Christ.  What a tremendous reminder that even if we fall, not to give up because God will see us through!

I have said in many other reviews that I love to see an artist record a classic song!  “John The Revelator” is a classic song and what I really love is the amazing arrangement that the Freemans put on this classic!  You will absolutely love “John The Revelator” … Freemans style!!!!  “Meanwhile Back At The Cross” slows down the tempo once again and this song tells the wonderful story of what happened and what was gained that day at the Cross of Calvary.  The final song on this project is “Lead Me Home” and this is a wonderful song about going home to Heaven and I am sure that all of us, as Christians, look forward to that day!

When you get a project from a group like the Freemans you already have high expectations!  This project exceeded all of the expectations that I had and this project has literally made its way into my heart to speak to me in a way that few recordings have.  All of the songs on this project are amazing!  They are well written and performed to perfection by the Freemans.  My favorite songs on this project are “Voice In The Desert,” “That Kind Of Love” and “John The Revelator.”  In all honesty, this is my favorite Freemans project ever and I have heard most of them!  If you are looking for a project that reaches you deep within your soul, this project, with these songs, is it.  For more information on the Freemans, visit their website at www.the-freemans.com.
