Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Artist: Lordsmen
Project Title: Faithful
Label: Independent
Producers: The Lordsmen

Southern Gospel Music includes many different types of artist these days.  You will find soloists, duos, trios, quartets, mixed groups and family groups.  However, the music began with male quartet music and that is what attracted me to the music in the first place.  Now, today I enjoy all of those previously mentioned artists but there is still something about four part male harmony quartet singing, that brings me back to being a kid, sitting there and listening with my parents to those great quartets of the past. I am thankful that there are many male quartets that are still singing today and the Lordsmen is one such quartet.  Their latest project is titled “Faithful” and I know you will enjoy it as much as I do!

The project begins with a great Rodney Griffin song titled “I Love Living In Grace.”  What a fantastic quartet song and what a wonderful message about living under God’s Grace.  “Someday We’ll Know” continues the great quartet singing and the song reminds us that there will come a day when we will understand and know exactly what Heaven is all about!  I cannot wait for that day and I am sure that you cannot either.  The next song on the project is “Road To Glory” and it is another song about our final destination of Heaven. The pace slows down with a terrific song titled “I Am Healed.”  What an amazing message about not only the physical healing power of Jesus Christ but also the spiritual and emotional healing power of Jesus Christ. This song will encourage the listeners that are facing a trial or tribulation.

“It’s Still True” is a great song that reminds that all of those great stories of the Bible are still all absolutely true today!  Jesus does still save the sinner and He did die and rise again and all of those great promises of the Bible are all still true!  Next on the project we find the song “I Remember The Time.”  I love this song as the writer talks of remembering the time that they gave their life to Christ!  I know I remember that time sitting in my living room with my mom as I asked God into my heart.  I pray everyone reading this can remember that time they gave their heart to Christ.  Kyla Rowland is one of the great writers in Southern Gospel Music and she wrote “I Needed To Hear That Today.”  I love how this song is crafted and how Kyla, and the Lordsmen, craft that encouraging message that everyone needs to hear that yes, if you are a Christian, you are on a journey Home!  “Make Me Want To Go” is another song about the many awesome things that are awaiting us in Heaven.  This is also another wonderful, pure quartet song and the guys do an outstanding job on this one!

“When Jesus Comes In The Clouds” is the next song on the project and it continues the project’s theme of Heaven.  What a great day it will be when Jesus comes back!  Ricky Atkinson wrote a great song titled “Table Of The King” and the Lordsmen recorded that song next.  What a great thought that we are invited to feast at the table of the King!  Please, if you have not accepted that invitation yet, do so today!  I remember the first time I heard the song “I Want My Stage To Be An Altar.”  I was so moved by the message of the song and I love that the Lordsmen recorded this song.  This song not only applies to singers, as the title suggests, but to every Christian.  Whatever your “stage” is, we should use it to point others to Christ!  The second verse of this song is one of the great messages I have ever heard in a song!  The final song on the project is “When It’s All Said And Done” and this popular quartet song is a toe-tapper that you are sure to enjoy.

I am always thrilled to get a project from a male quartet!  The Lordsmen are certainly a talented quartet.  They have twelve songs on this project that you will surely enjoy and they will bless you time and time again.  The project is a great exhibition of traditional, pure, male quartet singing!  My favorite songs from the project are “Makes Me Want To Go,” “Table Of The King” and “I Want My Stage To Be An Altar.”  If you are a fan of traditional Southern Gospel Music, there is no doubt that you will love this project!  It is loaded with great quartet songs, all performed very well by the Lordsmen!  For more information on the Lordsmen, visit their website at www.lordsmen.org.
