Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Artist: Browns
Project Title: Love Loud
Label: StowTown Records
Producers: Wayne Haun

It has been a couple of years since I have heard new music from the Browns but I just recently received their brand new project and all I can say is wow!  What an amazingly talented group this family has developed into.  Their recent project is “Love Loud” and this project does a great job showcasing the talent of this family.

The title song of the project is first up and group members Shelly Brown and Michaela Brown were joined by Jeff Baumgardner as the writers for this song.  The song is an upbeat song that conveys a message of the type of love we should have towards each other and, of course, we need to portray the love that Christ has for us to others!  The next song on the project is “Rock And Redeemer” and the only way I can think to describe this song is cool!  The message of the song is great as it talks of Christ being our rock and redeemer when we need a shelter but it is the great music in this song that really draws the listener in and gets them to hear that message.  Most any Southern Gospel project includes songs of hope and encouragement.  However, I have heard very few that are better than “The One Who Still Works Miracles” which is the next song on this project.  This song is followed by another one that Shelly and Michaela collaborated on along with Rachel McCutcheon.  This is an up-tempo song but “The Captain’s Got It Under Control” is another song of encouragement as it reminds us that God has every storm of yours and my life under control!

Another group member, Adam Brown, gets in on the act of writing as he co-wrote “Street Of Gold” with Wayne Haun and Joseph Habedank.  This is a great, up-tempo song and I love how it talks of running up and down the street of gold seeing the half that has never been told!  What an amazing day that will be and this song helps us to imagine some of the excitement of when that will be a reality!  Michaela and Shelly co-write with Joel Lindsey the next song with “Everything Changes.” I love the message in this song that reminds us of how fast things change in our life but it also reminds us that God never changes!  “A Place In The Choir” is another fun song from the Browns and I really enjoyed this one.  I know that you will too!  Next on the project is “The Water Is Calling” and what an amazing song!  It reminds us how easy it is to let sin get into our lives and how every once in a while we need to be washed by that healing water from Christ.

The final member of the group is Andrew Brown and he gets in on the writing act with “Fishers Of Men.”  Andrew, along with Cindi Ballard and Wayne Haun, wrote this song that reminds us that we should all be following Christ and we should all be fishers of men!  “Rivers In The Rain” is next on this project and it reminds us of God’s goodness and blessings and just how good God is in our lives.  The next song on the project a beautiful melody titled “This I Know.”  What a great reminder that Jesus loves us and this we know and even after all of these years we still sing that great profound statement of Jesus loves me this I know!  Anyone who has ever heard the Browns in concert knows that they are tremendous instrumentalists!  The final cut on this track is an awesome instrumental medley of two very familiar hymns. “All Hail The Power Of Jesus Name” and “Crown Him With Many Crowns” are the songs in the medley and it will make your spirit soar as your worship Christ with these great songs and this great arrangement.

The Browns have been around Southern Gospel Music for a few years now and I have been enjoying them since first seeing them live in Lebanon, PA several years ago.  The group has a whole bunch of talent and this project showcases every bit of it.  From beautiful melodies to up-tempo, driving songs to soaring instrumentals to incredible, uplifting messages, this project has it all.  My favorite songs from this project were very hard to pick because I had about seven of them!  However, I limit myself to three and they are “Rock And Redeemer,” “Street Of Gold” and “The Captain’s Got It Under Control.”  This project is one of those that will appeal to nearly everyone.  It is part traditional Southern Gospel, part progressive Southern Gospel and 100% good Gospel Music!  For more information on the Browns, visit their website at www.thebrownsmusic.com.
