Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Family harmony and Christmas music just seem to go together.  The Nelons have brought these things together with a Christmas project titled “An Evening In December.”  Of course, the Nelons sing some of the most wonderful harmony you will find in Southern Gospel Music today and when they lend that harmony to some Christmas music, well you have just a slight dose of Christmas magic!

The project begins with some beautiful a cappella singing on the project’s title cut, “Evening In December.”  The song is a wonderful melody about one of the favorite holiday pastimes, visiting with family!  The song remarks about how happy it makes us to congregate with our loved ones.  The next song on the project is the Christmas classic, “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.”  Jason does a phenomenal job on this familiar song that reminds that yes, everywhere you look, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! “Light A Candle” might be a little less familiar than some of the songs on this project but I love the message of this song which reminds not to forget about the people in need at Christmas time.  There are many hurting people in this world and there is no better time to convey the Christmas story that can change their lifer than at the time of the year when we celebrate the birth of Christ.

Jason and Kelly wrote and sing a wonderful song that is recorded next!  It is titled “The Loneliest Christmas” and it talks about how lonely Christmas would be if that very special person could not be with us.  I know that is absolutely true and I really enjoyed this song.  The next song on the project is not a Christmas song.  The Nelons sing the Lanny Wolfe song titled “More Than Wonderful.”  This song has always been a favorite of mine and the Nelons version is the absolute best version of this song I have ever heard.  I love it and I know you will too as we celebrate just how wonderful God is!  The timeless Christmas classic is next as Amber sings an a cappella version of “Silent Night.” Amber has such an amazingly clear soprano voice and the beautiful performance on this song is absolutely a must hear.  That leads us right in to another wonderful featuring Kelly titled “Rest On Me.”  If you remember the Nelons Christmas project from a few years titled “A Journey,” this song on was on that project.  The song offers a great view of Mary’s perspective on that wonderful Christmas day so many years ago.

“Happy Birthday Jesus” is a unique song!  I think we often do forget that Christmas is a birthday!  The song starts out with the traditional “Happy Birthday” song sung to Jesus.  The song goes on to the song “Happy Birthday Jesus” which reminds us that there are a lot of wonderful things about Jesus but the real gift was Jesus and He was given to each one who will receive Him!  A great message! Next on the project we find “Christmas All Year.”  I have heard other songs that encourage us to have that Christmas spirit all year long but this song is absolutely awesome!  And really, as Christians, we should have Christmas all year long!  The final song on this project is a New Year’s favorite!  “Auld Lang Syne” is the song and this beautiful melody and song seems to be a perfect ending to this wonderful recording.

I believe that the Nelons are one of the finest groups traveling today.  Their harmony is some of the very best you will hear anywhere and they have an amazing project here which will be enjoyed every Christmas season for many, many years!  The project has ten amazing songs and each one of them is sung to absolute perfection by Kelly, Jason, Amber and even Autumn!  My favorite songs on this project were difficult to choose because I honestly do love them all.  However, the three I finally settled on were “More Than Wonderful,” “The Loneliest Christmas” and “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.”  I love Christmas music, I love the Nelons and I absolutely love this project!  If you are looking for great Christmas music, sung by one of today’s top groups, you just found it!  For more information on the Nelons, visit their website at www.thenelons.com.
