Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Artist: John Berry Project Title: Real Man Real Life Real God Label: Daywind Producers: Unknown Reviewed By: Scott Evans
We get projects from new artists quite often here at the Southern Gospel Music Forum offices. John Berry is a name that is new to me although apparently, if you are a fan of Country Music, you may know him and some of his songs. John Berry has recently embarked on a full time Gospel Music career and this is his debut project. I can honestly say I never heard any of his country music songs but this collection of Gospel Music songs is a very good one.
The project begins with “I Worship You” which is an upbeat song with a positive message of worshiping Christ. The second song on the project is the inspiration for the title of the project. “Real Man” is a slower melody reminding us that we are nothing more than a real man, living a real life and, most importantly, serving a real God! Those who know me know that I love it when an artist goes back and gets and old song and records it. John goes back and gets one of the great hymns of the church when he records “Blessed Assurance” on this project. It is a great performance of one of my favorite hymns and there is no doubt in my mind that you will love it and be blessed by it.
Artist: Danny Riddle Project Title: The Hands Of Time Label: Somebody Productions Producers: Danny Riddle
At the Southern Gospel Music Forum we have been reviewing Danny Riddle’s music for quite a while. However, this is my first time to review one of his CD’s. This new project is packed full of music including sixteen songs of varying styles and subjects.
The project begins with a slow and beautiful melody titled “Two Heart In Love.” The song is also the inspiration for the title of the project which is “The Hands Of Time.” The tempo picks up next as Danny sings “Keep Me On The Mountain,” a great song asking God to keep us on the mountain and never let us go! “I Was The One” is a beautiful song about the crucifixion of Christ that tells a compelling story from the perspective of the one who made the crown of the thorns. The next song is titled “Forever Loved” and I know I have heard this song before but I am not sure where. It reminds us that God will never leave us and we are forever loved.
Artist: Greater Vision Project Title: Everything Christmas Label: Independent Producers: Lari Goss and Gerald Wolfe Reviewed By: Scott Evans
This project is not brand new for this year but it was released last year and it is definitely worth the time to listen! Greater Vision has an awesome Christmas project here that will be enjoyed for many years. “Everything Christmas” is the title of the Greater Vision project and it pretty much does have everything Christmas on it!
The project begins with the “Everything Christmas Overture.” This medley includes a number of Christmas favorites including “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year,” “Unspeakable Joy,” “Joy To The World,” “O Come C Come Emmanuel,” “Hark The Herald Angels Sing,” “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “The First Noel,” “Gloria” and “Angels From The Realms Of Glory.” This is a wonderfully orchestrated medley of these songs that will remind you of some of the glorious orchestra projects from many years ago. “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” is next on the project and the trio vocals are perfect on this great carol. Another Christmas favorite is next with “Do You Hear What I Hear?” The guys do a great job on this song and you will enjoy this arrangement.
Artist: The Taylors Project Title: It's Christmas Label: Independent Producers: The Taylors and Wesley Pritchard Reviewed By: Scott Evans
I became acquainted with the Taylors just a few months ago but this is the first time I have heard a full project by the group. I must say that I am beyond impressed! These young people have a terrific sound and they have proven it many times over on their brand new Christmas release simply titled “It’s Christmas.” You will enjoy every single one of the twelve songs on this project.
The project begins with one of my favorite songs. “Glory To God In The Highest” is the song and I love this version by the Taylors! What a perfect way to begin a Christmas project with an upbeat, high energy song proclaiming Christ’s Birth. Next on the project is a beautiful song titled “Labor Of Love.” I have never heard the song before but I love the song and the message. I do not know who is singing what parts on the project but the female lead on this song is exceptional. The Taylors go a cappella on the next song and it is the old standard, “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.” It is a fairly traditional arrangement and it is performed expertly. “Who Would Imagine A King” is a reasonable well known Christmas song in Southern Gospel circles and the version from the Taylors is a good one.
Artist: Crist Family Project Title: Timeless A Christmas Collection Label: Horizon Records Producers: Jeff Collins and Rich Crist Reviewed By: Scott Evans
For those of us who are Crist Family fans (and you know I am) we have been waiting for this Christmas project for a couple of years now! I can tell you right now that there is absolutely no let down with the finished product. The Crist Family has risen to one of the top mixed groups in Southern Gospel Music and this Christmas project, while perhaps a little different from their Southern Gospel Projects, is a wonderful collection of music that you and your family will enjoy for many years.
The project starts off with an upbeat song titled “Love Me Some Snow.” It is a song of celebration of one of the things we look for at Christmas, snow! Being from the Northeast and growing up in the snow belt of New York State, I can agree with what this song is saying! “Christmas Time Is Here” is a classic Christmas song and the flawless harmonies from the Crist Family on this song will make it a very enjoyable experience. Another classic is next “Christmas Waltz.” I have always enjoyed this song and the Crist Family version is as good as I have ever heard! “I Love Those Jingle Bells” is perhaps a more modern version of “Jingle Bells” but this upbeat and happy song is a nice addition to this project.
