Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Artist: Johnathan Bond
Project Title: Testimonies Volume 3
Label: His Choice Music
Producers: Johnathan Bond

The latest project from Johnathan Bond is titled “Testimonies Volume 3.”  It is another terrific collection of testimonies and songs from Johnathan and Young Harmony.  This project, like the previous ones, will bless the listener time and time again with its encouraging message!

This project begins with a testimony titled “Last Minute.”  I enjoyed this testimony about the leading of God to use a specific song to minister to a young lady.  It also goes to remind us that often the people we meet are hurting in ways that we could never imagine.  This testimony leads into the well-known song “Something About That Name.”  What a great song reminding us of the power of Jesus.

The next testimony on the project is “Not Just On The Sparrow.”  This is a bit of a humorous testimony of Johnathan following the leading of the Lord.  The testimony also has a very poignant message to it and it really is a beautiful story of God using someone in the simplest of ways with a simple hug!  “Come To Jesus” is the next song on the project and I have always loved this song and the line that says “if you will take the first step of faith, He’ll carry you the rest of the way!”  Great words and a great song!

Artist: Joyful Noise Trio
Project Title: In Jesus Name
Label: Independent
Producers: Joyful Noise Trio

I have stated many times before that one of my favorite things about being the owner and editor of this website and writing project reviews is meeting new and talented people!  Well, I recently “met” a group on Facebook that is incredibly talented!  The name of the group is Joyful Noise and their debut project has just come out and oh my, what a project!

The project starts off with “Count Your Blessings.”  Of course, this was a huge song for the Martins, and Joyful Noise sings the song in that same style.  They do a very good job singing this song and it is a great start to their project.  “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power” is a classic song in the history of Southern Gospel Music and Joyful Noise does an exceptional job on this beautiful song about the power and the reach of the Blood of Jesus Christ.  The next song on this project is a song that I just became aware of a little over a year ago even though the song has been around a little while.  The song is “Wonderful Merciful Savior” and this version of this song is simply outstanding!  I really enjoyed this song and it quickly became a favorite.  The tempo picks up a little with “Everything’s Gonna Turn Out Right.”  What a great message in a song reminding us that no matter what we are going through, with Christ, everything is going to turn out right!

Gordon Mote -- All Things New

Artist: Gordon Mote
Project Title: All Things New
Label: New Haven Records
Producers: Frank Rogers, Gordon Mote

The name Gordon Mote is well known in Southern Gospel Music.  Gordon spent many years as the piano player for the Gaither Vocal Band and the Gaither Homecoming Videos.  He is also an accomplished studio musician and producer and a proficient singer.  Gordon recently set out on a solo ministry and his latest solo project, on New Haven Records, is an outstanding effort that is likely to please all of his current fans and get him many new ones as well!

The project starts out with an upbeat song titled “All Things New.”  I love the message of this song as it reminds us that God can make all things new if we believe in Him.  It is also the title song from the recording.  The tempo slows down on the next song with “Faith Like That.”  The song tells a story of a father who lost a son and the tremendous faith in God that he had.  It is very touching and an excellent message.  “Ain’t It Just Like The Lord” picks up the pace once again and wow is this a good song!  It reminds us that God can do the impossible and He is still performing miracles today!  The next song on the project is a beautiful ballad titled “Meanwhile Back At The Cross.”  What a wonderful message of how God’s Blood still bring forgiveness and mercy.

Artist: Johnathan Bond
Project Title: Testimonies Volume 2
Label: His Choice Music
Producers: Johnathan Bond

Johnathan Bond, of Young Harmony, has been a personal friend of mine for several years now.  I have spent some time with Johnathan over the years and there is no doubt that God uses him in very unique and a very great way!  In fact, God has used Johnathan to help me through some difficulties in my life, even though Johnathan likely never knew it.  Anyone who is familiar with Johnathan has probably heard some of his testimonies.  Well, Johnathan has just released two more projects each one having five testimonies and five songs on it.  This review is on “Testimonies Volume 2.”

The first cut on the project is a testimony titled “Food … Again.”  I have heard this testimony before I love it!  This is a great example of God leading a Christian to someone in need!  What a great testimony that resulted in two new believers in Christ.  I love the statement that Johnathan makes that says “God is bigger than we give Him credit for.”  Amen to that!  This testimony leads to one of my favorite Young Harmony songs, “God Has Not Forgotten You.”  Whew, what a message in that great song!  No matter what you are going through, you can be sure that God has not forgotten you and He is well aware of your circumstances and what you are going through.

The next testimony is titled “Mall Maniac.”  I love this testimony and I always enjoy the humor of Johnathan and he and I seem to share the same talent of putting our foot in our mouth!  LOL!  As this testimony unfolds and it reminds us that God can use us as long as we are willing to let Him use us!  This testimony leads into the song “God Can Do It.”  This was always a favorite of mine too as it reminds us that God will make a way through anything and with God nothing is impossible.

Artist: Zandra Brown
Project Title: It's Your Life

Label: Independent
Producers: Jeremy Medkiff

This is our second project to review from Zandra Brown! I said in the first review that her music is not Southern Gospel but that her talent was too great to ignore and this project is much the same way.  Zandra’s new project has thirteen songs on it that are all written or co-written by Zandra and each one tells a personal story from her life.  Like all of us, Zandra has experienced ups and down in life and you can feel and hear the emotion in each of these songs.

The project gets off to a kickin’ start with the title song “It’s Your Life.”  This song is sure to become a quick favorite as it encourages to live life in spite of the circumstances of our life.  “Your Love Is Good” is the next song on the project and it an awesome song about the day that Zandra gave her life to Christ.  I think it conveys the message of what most of feel about that day in our life.  “Lies” picks up the pace once again and this fast song leads right into the slow tempo “I Refuse To Break.”  That song reminds us of the crazy pace that our life can have sometimes and how we need to refuse to break under that pressure!

“Only You Alone” is an awesome song that I really enjoyed.  It is written about God and only Him alone is our strength and peace forever.  “Missing You” is a personal song that Zandra wrote to her husband and it is an awesome song for anyone who is missing that special someone in their life.  The next song on the project is “If I Had One Wish” and it is a song that will be enjoyed by the listener.  “I’ll Pray For You” is the next song on the project and this song offers a unique perspective of praying for someone who has hurt you.  I love the song and we should all strive to do that!  Next on the project we find the song “Heaven Knows” and it is another great song.
